Customer Reviews & Testimonials
The ambience is quite good and the food we ordered was a little delayed. Taste wise and quantity wise it was really delicious and must try chicken lollipop sauce which is flavoured with garlic and the sweet taste is unimaginable. We ordered kulcha which is very good without curry. Should not try mint lime and crushes. Crushes were less carbonated and tasted like sugar water. At last we had a bad experience in tasting the dessert. So kindly improve the taste of the dessert item other than the food items are really good.
I recently visited Taj Restaurant in Kattupakkam, and I must say, it was a mixed experience. The food used to be much better, but this time it was just average. The golden prawns, which I usually enjoy, tasted more like bajji, which was quite disappointing. The fried rice was bland, so I tried the Schezwan version instead, and it turned out to be extremely spicy--definitely not what I expected! On the bright side, the chicken wings and chicken lollipop were a highlight. Both were juicy, tasty, and definitely the stars of the meal. The service was okay, nothing special but nothing to complain about either. *Overall, the experience was just alright, but I really hope they step up their game* and return to the quality they once had. There's potential here, but some improvements are definitely needed.
Last night, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Taj Restaurant, a popular and well-known place in my city. I had heard many great things about the food and service, so I was excited to experience it myself. I went there with my family on a Sunday evening, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable food experiences I've ever had. As soon as we entered the restaurant, I was impressed by the elegant interior. The warm lighting, traditional Indian decor, and soft instrumental music created a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff greeted us politely and guided us to a comfortable table near the window. The menu was beautifully designed and had a wide variety of dishes--both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, including Indian, Mughlai, Chinese, and continental cuisines. Since we were all very hungry and curious to try everything, we decided to order a little bit of everything. We began with the starters, which included Paneer Tikka, Chicken Malai Tikka, Hara Bhara Kabab, and Mutton Seekh Kebabs. Every bite was bursting with flavor--the paneer was soft and smoky, the chicken was creamy and perfectly cooked, and the kebabs were spicy and tender. Next came the main course, where we truly went all out. We ordered Butter Chicken, Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Makhani, Rogan Josh, and Kadhai Vegetable. Along with this, we had a basket of assorted breads--Butter Naan, Garlic Naan, and Tandoori Roti. Each dish had its own unique taste. The Butter Chicken was rich and creamy, the Dal Makhani was slow-cooked to perfection, and the Rogan Josh had a deep, spicy flavor that stayed on the tongue. The naan was soft and buttery, making it the perfect companion to every curry. We also tried a few rice dishes like Biryani, Jeera Rice, and Veg Pulao. The biryani was full of fragrant spices and served with cooling raita. By now, we were getting full, but we couldn't leave without trying the desserts. We ordered Gulab Jamun, Rasmalai, and a Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream. Each dessert was rich and satisfying, especially the sizzling brownie--it was warm, chocolaty, and paired perfectly with vanilla ice cream. The service throughout the evening was excellent. The waiters were attentive, well-dressed, and quick to respond to any request. Our table was always clean, and our water glasses were never empty. By the end of the meal, we were all full and happy. Visiting Taj Restaurant was not just about eating--it felt like a royal dining experience. The quality of the food, the peaceful environment, and the outstanding service made it a place I would love to return to again. If you are someone who enjoys exploring different flavors and wants to experience traditional Indian hospitality, I highly recommend visiting Taj Restaurant. Great serving and reasonable prices for every person for fill their stomach with taj restaurant foods

I had chicken biryani combo costs @ 340/- which includes chicken biryani, two piece of chicken 65, two piece of chicken lollipop, two piece of chicken fried wings & small pet bottle lime cool drink as a compliment chicken biriyani served less hot with raitha & brinjal gravy , boiled egg within biriyani only one chicken leg piece which isn't satisfied chicken piece not tender it was slightly hard I guess it was stocked meat subtle flavor typical basmati rice biriyani quantity wise satisfied but quality ie tastes are average no add on like sweets or cucumber salad, lemon slice are not provided , fried chicken wings , chicken 65 & chicken lollipop are oily tastes are average service need to be improved interiors & ambience are also average overall it wasnt satisfied dining experience & I'm not sure to recommend this....
Heard about this restaurant from a friend. We ordered the usual North Indian combo of butter naan, garlic naan, cheese naan with a couple of paneer side dishes and gobi Manchurian starters. It was a quite peaceful and comfortable place to eat especially after a hectic day's work. Parking could be a bit better but we can't blame them considering the fact that it's on the main road. The price was decent but the side dishes could have been a bit spicier, felt like both paneer and kofta were way sweeter than expected.
"Guys, be cautious when ordering takeout from this hotel. I specifically asked them to pack two mutton biryanis, but instead, they gave me one chicken biryani with only one chicken piece, an empty biryani container with two eggs. When I returned home and opened the parcel, I was disappointed. I went back to the hotel and ask them they not even asked sorry they were acting like it's s mistake but they doing this intentionally who getting parcel . In my opinion, this hotel is extremely untrustworthy and fraudulent.important you cannot call them the number they given in google is not reachable and always busy.
