I recently ordered the Thalassery Dum Biryani from this place through Zomato. They offer two portion sizes--500 ml or 750 ml. The packaging was impressive, and the Biriyani came with salad, chammandhi, pickles, and a serving of semiya payasam. The taste was absolutely delicious and satisfying! Nb: Rates are higher if ordered via online platforms like Swiggy/Zomato. Dine-in rates at restaurants are 100 cheaper.

I recently visited Thakkaram Hub in Perungudi. The food was okay--nothing extraordinary, but decent for a casual meal. The billing staff was polite and handled things professionally. However, the overall experience was disappointing due to the behavior of some other staff. The supplier and cleaning boy showed a lethargic and careless attitude. Most concerning was when the cleaning boy sprayed cleaning liquid and it landed on our hands and body while we were still seated--completely unacceptable and unhygienic. On top of that, we didn't receive curry with our meal, and no one bothered to check or follow up, even after we had finished eating. Such negligence is a red flag for any restaurant. If the staff can't show professionalism, then they should at least be trained properly. Without proper training and guidance, not only will the restaurant's reputation suffer, but these employees may also be spoiling their own future in the hospitality industry. I hope the management takes these points seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

I had the most incredible dining experience at THAKKARAM HUB @ kandanchavadi! As a huge fan of Kerala cuisine, I was blown away by the authenticity and flavors of the dishes.The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The service was prompt and efficient, without feeling rushed.The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes .

Iam totally disappointed today. I ordered chicken roast, but it was full of bone pieces and inedible waste parts. The amount was high--nearly 300 for 400 grams of chicken roast ordered through Swiggy--but I couldn't eat it properly. The meat was not well-cooked, and most of it was just waste. Please don't do this to customers. At the very least, include the good parts of the chicken. This is a business--we pay money and expect decent food in return. Please show some respect to your customers. I am completely dissatisfied and will not be ordering from or visiting this place again. I definitely won't recommend it to anyone. Sorry

Thakkuram Restaurant offers delicious and authentic Kerala cuisine. The food is full of flavor, with standout dishes like the biriyani and Kerala porotta. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy. A great spot for anyone craving traditional Kerala food.

First of all this is not the real thakkaram you found in kerala. We had chicken biriyani and porotta beef roast combo. Biriyani rice looked like a plain ghee rice. But chicken was properly cooked and having mild Masala- taste was ok. Porotta was kinda they bought half cooked and heated upon our order, it was very hard to chew or even to tear. Beef roast was the regular beef soaked onion curry. Last but least there is no parking for them. Only street parking on your risk.
