Customer Reviews & Testimonials
A great place for Punjabi vegetarian food in Chennai. Busy place, book in advance. Beautifully decorated, great service. The best part was the food. One of the best palak paneer I've ever had! The quality of paneer was the best, fresh and soft. Every dish was excellent. A must visit for vegetarians! Well done team.
Nestled in the heart of the city, The Patiala House is a haven for vegetarian food lovers. This restaurant offers an impressive array of vegetarian options that cater to a variety of tastes and preferences. The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the taste of the dishes. The paneer tikka, with its smoky flavors and perfect spice balance, stood out as a crowd-pleaser. The vegetable biryani, fragrant and packed with fresh ingredients, was another favorite. The ambiance truly sets this place apart. The interiors are warm and inviting, with earthy tones, lush greenery, and subtle lighting creating a relaxing vibe. The staff were courteous and attentive, adding a personal touch to the overall service. A restaurant worth revisiting!
Amazing place for north indian cuisine.... The ambience is designed so beautifully that you have a typical feeling of being in Punjab and not in Chennai.... Service is too good
An authentic pure vegetarian Punjabi /North Indian cuisine is the forte of Patiala House at Chetpet Chennai. They've thrown in a bit of Chinese too, for variety. But the N.Indian/Punjabi menu is extensive and exhaustive. The interior is jazzy and colorful with raucous bollywood songs played on a loop. Though a tad bit low, the seating was comfortable. The service is indulgent and prompt and the pricing is right. The Achari Paneer Tikka, Cream of Corn Capsicum soup, Boondi Raita and Masala Papad were standouts. The refreshing Jaljeera was spiced aptly. Special mention of the ever obliging and polite Ms.Suzanna. She was a breeze.
A five start for everything I had the patiala thali and my friends has a punjabi thali Both were same except for few starters and desserts But the taste was too good Recommend one
Food taste was ok. Very less varieties and service was too slow.. I dont think most of them understand English or Tamil.. very very slow service... Better to avoid for any time bound event..
We wanted to go for a pure vegetarian family dinner so we selected Patiala house for it. We started with cream of mushroom soup , for starters we ordered roasted masala papad, panner tikka and stuffed mushrooms. For main we ordered chilli cheese naan, garlic naan, amritsari naan with Punjabi paneer masala . For dessert we had Rabri. To my surprise I did not expect the cream of mushroom soup to be so good in a Punjabi restaurant. All the dishes with panner were so good. I liked the garlic naan and amritsari naan. My kid liked the rabri so much that we ordered one more for takeaway. Ambience I personally loved it, it was so colourful everywhere bringing the Punjabi vibes. The service was also good, they had enough staff to take care of the orders, so there was not much of a wait time, in fact the food was also served without much of a wait time. They were also playing birthday and anniversary wishes songs in between their Hindi songs. There were many families there and the vibes were so good. We really had a good time.
Awesome dining experience. Lachha paratha, dal makhani and the lassi shots are my personal favourites. Service was also good. Highly recommended
