Annapoorna - M.T.P Road

Annapoorna's is unique, especially when it comes to the tiffin section. The dosa variety and the idly variety was available till 10pm that's really good. Since we don't get idly past 9-9.30pm mostly, but here we got pepper idly. It was spicy and oil was not too much it was maintained in a neat level. The veg clear soup was not good, we expected it to be a clean soup but they didn't tell that the clear soup comes with so many veggies and greens. So that could be corrected or informed to the customer prior to what they ordered, because the cost of the soup is equal to a meal, that's not acceptable by maintaining this level of popularity. This is complete vegetarian, not vegan in most of the dishes, it has lactose, gluten in many dishes that can be asked with the server.

Absolute wow it is. Their ghee Dosa, idly sambar and filter coffee was fabulous and fantastic especially filter coffee no words!!!. I had 4 filter coffee just for me.Their service can be improved better we were waiting for sambar for so long. It is better not to give in small cups rather they can serve how much we need at once. This is the only con. Definitely it's not so affordable or budget friendly but once in a while we can try.

The Ghee Mini Idli in Sambhar was fantastic - the idlis were soft, and the ghee added a rich flavour that perfectly complemented the tangy sambhar. The Filter Coffee was excellent too, just as it should be. The Milk Halwa was a real treat.

The place is decent, located in a prime location, tastes good but not over hyped... Good thing is that we had food at very early hours like 6:30 am itself. Idly sambar means welcome hotel or rathna cafe, not Annapoorna...

Lovely food. Still I would prefer a fully served plate of meals, with all the dishes and rice served in advance as in SBH etc. I may please be excused for observing as below! The bearers are though friendly and helpful and my kudos and salutes to them and the management. But should I be at their mercy for the next servings, till they spot me, wanting for some next menu dish to be served. Btw, they are crowding your food table but of too much chatter besides stopping on your plates, rather serving one at the right moment. I also felt bit shy of asking for some additional serving of the tomato ghostu! The Payasam was indeed an amruth! Btw I am a patron since 1980s, though not too old now.

Check the menu before ordering anything from this restaurant because everything is super expensive. We have ordered masala dosa ans bun porotta, they charge around 100 rs for masala dosa which i felt very expensive considering the quantity also bun porotta mashroom curry 100 rs which is also higher than the quality i really felt. So I thought its just a normal veg restaurant and they won't charge much bit this is very expensive considering its a vegetarian restaurant. So be vigilant before ordering something from this restaurant check the menu and see the price list then order something

The food is well-prepared, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great South Indian meal. We tried dosa and other authentic South Indian dishes and that is amazing.

Loved the food here. Very heavy and rich. Loved every item we ordered. The masala dosa had dosa and masala rolled in it like a Swiss roll. Good service too. Despite being crowded, they managed to reach everyone.
