About Our Restaurant
Founded in 1957 by Mr. Nagasamy Naidu as Anandha Vilas Biriyani Hotel, the Thalappakatti Biriyani Hotel gets its name from Naidu's traditional head dress, Thalapa, leading to his nickname, "Thalappakatti Naidu." From inception, Naidu prioritized taste and uniqueness, achieved through careful ingredient selection and quality masala products. He used superior Seeraga samba rice and high-quality meat from renowned cattle-markets. Thalappakatti Biriyani's consistent flavor is owed to Naidu's personal preparation of ingredients and a scrumptious side dish called "Dalcha." Our Biriyani's quality and flavor have earned it broad popularity across South India, making "Thalappakatti" synonymous with high-quality Biriyani.

Customer Reviews & Testimonials
We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant on a weekday afternoon. It wasn't crowded, so finding a table was easy and the service was impressively fast. Every dish we tried was delicious from start to finish. Our kids especially loved the Chicken Biryani and Parotta. Among the starters, the Stick Chicken, Prawn Masala, and Naattukozhi Pepper Fry were perfectly spiced and full of flavor. The standout dish was definitely the Mutton Kola Urundai -- an absolute must-try! We wrapped up our meal with the Butterscotch Boba Milkshake, which was unique and tasty. A special mention to Mr. Santhosh Kumar, the manager, who was exceptionally courteous and attentive. He ensured we had a great experience and took excellent care of us. Many thanks to him and the team -- we'll definitely be coming back!
Don't go in expecting the best biryani in the world. It's just an average biryani with a bit of spice. Definitely not worth the price--at 359, you barely get 100g of meat or chicken. Feels overpriced and overhyped. Wouldn't recommend it at all.
Ordered butter chicken gravy through swiggy.. what came was a shock to us it was butter chicken kulambu with 2 shredded chicken piece. Portion was also very little .. did not expect a food to be of low quality from a Resturant like thalapakattu.
Stopped to grab lunch at this new place and had an absolutely amazing experience. Mr. Santhosh, the manager was most accommodating and went out of his way for me. The food was fresh and incredible. Would definitely revisit. 10/10.
Worst ever. No hygiene maintain, the room freshner in that small restaurant was too strong can't have food. Ordered Schezwan rice and chilli chicken gravy and they got me normal fried rice and chilli chicken which was not gravy. Chilli prawn was supposed to be spicy but it was sour and not fresh. Ask for lemon soda they got me with full dust and hair on it. And I had to pay 1500 rs for that waste food.
Today we did a parcel service at Thalappakatti at your Coimbatore RS Puram Branch. And there is a confusion that some of the orders were missing. However on what we reported they gave a clarity to us but still there is 1 sidedish is missing. While checked with the billed agent he started talking that "Our management says are you are manager and you didn't check and like they said and it become an negative mark to me now" As a customer I don't want to hear and all what is happening internally. However they offered in a way that they can give even they believe it was given and we are lying and said if we want to we will give or they will add it in our account you can get the same valued food next time. Ideally if a restaurant guy speaks like we can still give you if I am feeling it's not there which is not acceptable and this is one of the worst and creepy service and response I ever had. I need an answer for this behaviour with management or else I will get this flagged as one of the worst restaurant to accompany any food service. The guys way of speech and behaviour dosent have an 1 percentage of customer handling skill as he made us to think that we are lying and he is adjusting everything
We came here and enjoyed delicious mutton biryani, chicken milagu soup and a refreshing ginger lemon juice. Sandhosh, the manager, was very welcoming and even "warned" us that the chicken soup might be a bit too spicy :). It was spicy but very tasty with a lot of cilantro. The other staff employees were friendly as well. The only thing that I didn't like that much was that there was a perfume spray in one of the corners. The smell was a bit too strong for me. Other than that all was nice :)
Mrs. Vishalakshy was super good over there and served food with love n patience. Taste was good. Nice overall. She explained all the new menu and offers
