Hotel Kannappa

Recently I visited for lunch and tried a variety of dishes. Among them, I really liked the Fish Fingers (highly recommended), Chicken Barbecue and Mutton Kola Urundai. However, I wasn't impressed with the Chicken Biryani, not only did it fall short in taste, but the quantity was also quite less for the price. The place was heavily crowded during my visit, yet the service was surprisingly quick. The ambience was pleasant and while the pricing is on the higher side, the overall experience was good.

The food, service, and hospitality were excellent. I visited the restaurant around 8 PM. While a large group was waiting for a table, we were seated sooner as there were only two of us. The interior was very classy, and there was ample parking. I highly recommend this restaurant to those exiting Coimbatore via Avinashi Road.

Mutton Biryani was pretty good with decent number of juicy and succulent meat pieces. Portion may not be good enough for sharing in my opinion. Veg Meals was so-so. Elaneer payasam was more like coconut milk rather, but expensive for the size of the glass. Finding parking is a pain, mostly full. Waiting time can be harsh for large groups. Good to visit if you have enough time to spend in lunch. Service ain't great, I found staff chatting and didn't respond to table calls, can be better for a name like kannappa.

We tried special non veg meals everything taste good.service is also good. We dined in new dine are it's so good but too chill. Over all good experience

Fantastic Food & Quick Service at Hotel Kannappa! We had an amazing dining experience at Hotel Kannappa in Coimbatore. The food was absolutely delicious, with standout dishes like Chicken Biryani, Mutton Keema, and Thala Curry Fry that were packed with authentic flavors. The variety on the menu ensured that everyone in our group had something they loved. What made our visit even better was the efficient and friendly service. Our order was served promptly, and the staff was attentive and courteous throughout. Special mention to Captain Selva and Waiter Santhc, who ensured we had a seamless experience. The ambiance was welcoming, and the overall dining experience was fantastic. Definitely a place worth visiting again! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for great South Indian non-veg cuisine in Coimbatore.

Meals side veg curries are not that much tasty . Vajra fish fry is amust try. Fish curry ok. Other than that all non veg curry ( chicken and murton ) have same masala taste. Soup which you are serving before special meals is not a soup. Its a curry . Chicken fry is good . Biriyani rice is tasty . Finally the icecream was yummy . Overall not upto the level of price which we customers are paying.

Very less quantity and highly priced. Chicken biriyani came in a small bowl with hardly a 100gm chicken piece and a small egg for which the charge was 270. Ambience and staff service was okay but food taste and cost really needs attention.

Worst Taste. That Onion Chicken is full of powder(podi) fry. Parottas looks like two day before made ones. And Naatukozhi soup is horrible.. that was like thakkali rasam. And vanjaram fish is smelly. Overall food, It's tastes like typical road side fast food hotel in a rich ambience. They have only invested money on ambience looks only instead of bringing the taste.
