SOCIAL KITCHEN -Taste of UDUPI

At afternoon I went to social kitchen keeping in mind that there will be tiffin available, as I thought it was available. The billing counter didn't have a large queue expected. The price was reasonable it was around 150 per head. The waiting time for the food was a little bit longer and there were only limited seats and standing tables were there, but seated capacity is less. Food quality is okayish, it was more artificial kind of food, has a much diffrence than what we have at home. I would give a 3.5/5 for the tiffin

The idea of social kitchen seems to be cost effective good food- yes they get there. But the cost saving comes with a cost. Don't treat social kitchen like your hang out spot. Eat and get out because there is a crowd waiting for you to move out so that they can sit or find a place to enjoy their meals. Get what ever you want in the first go itself as e the queue and ordering will be a headache due to the crowd. So good food and good place but no service - thats the price of cheap but good food.

One of the restaurant pocket friendly restaurant in coimbatore. They have self service. One can browse the menu and place order in the digital menu borad available in the front side of the restaurant. The bill and coupon will be recieved once the payment is done. The coupons are to be given at respective counters and with no delay one will get the order. We ordered ghee roast, lassi and filter coffee. The dosa was very crispy and emersed in ghee, personally I did not like the taste of the ghee used, the chutney was nice. The coffee was good and the lassi was okay. A limited parking facility is available. Seating capacity is also small. There are high tables also where one can stand and eat. The restaurant is mostly crowded.

Had tried their dishes at the recently opened outlet in Kochi, which was an instant hit there and was looking for their Coimbatore Outlet. Great pure veg restaurant to fill your tummy with good Udupi style dosas, Idlis, Shaviges, Buns along with hot filter coffees and others. The rates are also reasonable. Attaching the pics.

Vegetarian kitchen with good taste and minimal variety of food items. The price is affordable and with good quality food. The place is a bit crowded and there is not enough seating. Parking space is less. Some food items might be a little spicy.

Great place for Udupi style tiffin. All dishes come in a small portion compared to your average restaurant, but priced appropriately as well. Thatu idly is a must. Also try tender coconut shake. Coffee is a thumbs up.

Food quality is ok but the cost only little bit higher . Other than that ambience is ok. Better to reduce little bit amount while middle class and lower middle class people will experience the taste of social kitchen

Best place for Vegetarian food , located in the busy area of Coimbatore, near Milk Company. Quality, Hygiene & Tasty are really felt in this Social Kitchen. Crowded most of the time. Restaurant is simple & self service system. One should not miss Social Kitchen when you visit Coimbatore.
