Customer Reviews & Testimonials

The food here is exceptional--every dish we ordered was delicious. The place is usually very crowded, and the ambience inside feels a bit rushed and hectic. They offer both AC and non-AC seating, but regardless of your choice, you'll likely have to wait in line to get a table. Service is quick once you're seated, and they offer a great selection of meat dishes. Open parking is available. If you can tolerate the wait, I'd highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding food.

Definitely one of the must visited spots to try when you are around Coimbatore. Despite long waiting time outside to get a seat, food will be served real quick and yeah- the place seems hygienic compared to other hyped places in this region. Mutton biryani, mutton chukka and fish fry we tried were excellent. Porotta felt okay and mutton balls felt average. Pro tip: double check the bills whether it is misplaced (they said it was due to the rush -whatever)

Food poison alert Me & my 3 frnds ate last night here. We ordered mutton, chicken, egg briyani & brain fry, masala kalakki, normal kalakkii, Pichu potta kozhi, Parotta. We all had stomach ache from last night & vomitting for more than 5 times & loose motion for more than 3 times. Actually we're a regular customers, we used to go thrice a month, we had a trust in you that you're a very good mess that never mess with us, but yesterday you broke it! Even I took my frnds from another districts but they're totally disappointed for their first experience!!

Had lunch at Valarmathi Mess during our Coimbatore vacation with friends. Waited over an hour to get seated - the place is extremely popular. The mutton biryani was the highlight - incredibly tasty and flavorful. Chicken biryani was also good. Tried several sides - all were delicious: Pichi potta kozhi Mutton chukka Naatukozhi pepper chicken Mutton varuval (especially tasty) Street parking available - managed to find a spot easily. Overall, great value for money. Worth the wait - would definitely recommend for a flavorful non-veg meal in Coimbatore.

One of the best and oldest restaurants in Coimbatore serving authentic Kongu cuisine. The food is incredibly tasty and definitely worth the wait! Be prepared for a long queue, especially on weekends - waiting time can go above an hour. Despite the crowd, the experience is totally worth it for the quality and flavor. Their biryani and mutton kola urundai are must-tries! A perfect spot for anyone looking to enjoy traditional Kongu-style dishes. Great value for money and a memorable food experience in Coimbatore.

Absolutely smashing place! I was told it would be crowded but I didn't expect a line at 7:15!! However they keep the crowd moving and the wait was totally worth it. Hands down in my top 3 biryanis. Packed with flavour, tender meat falling off the bone. The keema balls were perfectly balanced. Crunchy on the outside. Tender on the inside. The Kothu Parotha was nice too. Must must visit for all who go to Coimbatore. The head waiter Ramu was so smiley and hospitable that one felt like ordering more and more.

After hearing a lot about this place, we decided to give it a try. Went on a weekday late evening and was shocked to see a sizable crowd outside the place awaiting their turn to get a table. Given the hype about the place, I found exteriors to be pretty nondescript. 4-wheeler Parking is a challenge. We got a shared table after a 20 minute wait. The service was pretty prompt. The food was authentically good. The mutton keema balls and Pichu poata kozhi were extremely good. The porota and kongu naatu kozhi curry was a good choice as well. The chicken kothu parota was decent. We had to ask for cutlery. Overall an excellent choice for non vegetarian food. Will definitely go back.

They provide delicious biriyani and other meat-based food items like chukka and mutton 65 and all. But it's too crowded. You can go to this restaurant only if you have at least one hour to wait. The minimum waiting time for getting a parcel is more than 40 minutes. There is no waiting space you have to wait in the road.
