Hi I visited this mess on 31st May, actually I walked in without seeing any google reviews but after looking at the cars parking on the road side I thought to go. Fantastic kuruma (3 varieties) phenomenal mutton dry, unbelievable crispy in parota no words to narrate pepper chicken, highly recommend for dinner

A Hidden Gem for Non-Veg Lovers - Sri Amman Mess, Gobichettipalayam. (Hidden - as we are first time comers and is slightly inside the main road) If you're in or around Gobichettipalayam and craving an authentic non-vegetarian meal, Sri Amman Mess is an absolute must-visit. We recently had their non-veg meals for lunch with 9 varieties of gravy, and it was a memorable experience from start to finish. The mutton side dishes were rich and flavorful, while the egg kalakki added a perfect local twist. To top it off, the meal concluded with a comforting soup, followed by curd and refreshing buttermilk -- the ideal wrap-up to a hearty feast. The service was truly top-notch. The staff were welcoming, efficient, and made sure we had everything we needed. The place retains its authenticity in both food and atmosphere -- simple, clean, and steeped in tradition. If you're new to the place, do follow the instructions from the servers on the order of eating the food -- trust me, you'll be mesmerized by the taste. Their way, enhances the experience and brings out the best in every bite. Plan your visit on a weekday for a smooth, hassle-free dining experience. Sri Amman Mess is a culinary treasure where tradition meets taste in the best way possible. Don't judge the hotel just by the looks. Sometimes, non hi-fi things can give you happiness, fullness and kicks. Not a Paid promotion!! FYI.

I'm placing a neutral rating because I went in high expectations based on reviews. Limited options available during the weekend (Saturday) which was not great but food was definitely good. Meals were supposed to have sides offered but here they are billed including curd. Parking isn't great inside and the roadside is completely without shade. Ok to try based on your pocket deepness.

Very worst food ..over hype..costly..not worth for money. Meals rate very costly

Went there with heavy expectations, and it was not wasted. Food was good, we tried the non veg meals and chicken biriyani. Non veg meals has 4-5 gravys , chicken biriyani was also good. We tried the mutton varuval , natti kozhi and botti also, all of them were super tasty. One issue was the quantity. Portion is just okay. But the thing that surprised me was the service. Sasi Anna was so helpful, he treated us like guests only. He knew we were not from Tamilnadu so he explained things to us. Kudos to him

Parotta was ok. The chicken was not at all good. Not fully cooked. The dishes were not served hot. The chicken fry was in a cold temperature. They are cooking all items bfore and not serving hot. Not worth the goodwill they have actually. Not worth it. They have changed totally.

The menu offered a variety of non-vegetarian options, including chicken biryani, which resembled bold chicken served on plain kuska. Additionally, they provided chicken bone kolambu, both of which are worth trying. However, at 150 each for the biryani, the value is questionable as it includes only one portion of rice and a single piece of chicken, with no egg included.

One of the best mess you can find in Gobichettipalayam. I'm a Malayali and I dont usually like other food. But I liked the "sappadu" very much. Chilli gobi and chicken leg fry was awesome. The price is economic and the staff behaviour is very polite. They have sufficient parking space. Very crowded at noon. The paneer soda was fantastic.
