Customer Reviews & Testimonials
This place is rustic ,raw and a very nice place that connects with you. It doesn't have the cliche polished aesthetics of cafes now a a days ,but that of what a cafe is actually meant to look like. The food is great, might take a while but definitely worth the wait, the staff is amazing and interact well. Must visit when in Kodai. You also have guitars, books and you can even purchase cheese if you want to.
First of all a big thanks and heartiest congratulations to Kohila Devi & her small, yet well-neat team for creating an unforgettable homely ambience. The restaurant is definitely a paradise for foodies. We had Tao Chicken, Chicken Pasta, Salami Pizza and Balcon Pizza; and Chocolate Milk. Starting from the last, Pizzas were indeed other-worldly. Thin crusted, hand tossed proper Pizza was definitely the star attraction. As a starter, we had Tao Chicken, followed by Chicken Pasta. Both of them were absolutely brilliant. A big Kudos to the entire team at the kitchen, strongly recommended, will definitely revisit again!!! P.S. :- An aside, which I cannot help but post it here - there was a group of ~ 15-17 people who had their lunch and also celebrated birthday of one of their mates. It was utterly disturbing to see the lady-in-charge Mrs. Kohila Devi in tears (yes!! That's the utter shame) when they "apparently" (since I didn't interact with them and from whatever bits-&-pieces I could gather from overhearing them) accused that the "Pasta" was not upto the mark and overall food quality was not good. Consequently they left the restaurant paying half of their bill. Now, I am not the judge here. But if it is indeed true (which I am inclined to believe) a heartfelt request to all fellow foodies, if you don't like any dish or overall services anywhere, of course you are welcome to communicate a negative review properly, but please show some decency of paying the full money that you ate already!! Nevertheless... To the Cloud Street... Cheer up... Maintain your standards and success will be yours!! Cheers!
Have visited this place twice. Loved the vibe and food, both times. I would definitely be back again next time and every other time I will be in kodai. You should too, if ever in kodai. The Mongolian beef was so juicy and tender. Was the best. The pizza was amazing. The pasta was a bit too rich in contents. Maybe a bit filling. But I do not mind. Neither would anyone. There was some special tea. Ginger lemon honey tea. It was amazing. Everything was just right. They have board games for you to come and hang out. If you are in kodai with a bunch of your favourite people and decided to go out, when you just had enough of the nature, then this is where you must head and hang out. The perfect place doesn't exist. But, it's cloud street.
Apart from the fact that the service plates weren't cleaned properly, no other complaints. Really really really love the food. Amazing staff behaviour.
Not a great experience. We went there by looking at the rating. Service is not great, before placing order we asked them if they accept the card payment for which they said yes. We ordered coffee, tea and pizza. Pizza was okay. While making the bill payment, they said card is not working and asked either to pay through cash or Gpay. Also they did not even give us the bill. They said the amount, and we had to make the payment.
Worst experience, the management is handed over to someone else now and please don't go here with the older reviews . Pathetic service and highly priced menu . Chicken Lasange is charged at 650 with no chicken , no bread and no salad on side . When I enquired why that was not provided the server just mentioned that no one eats that. The portions are extremely small . The pasta was not cooked and the cheese tasted bitter . Worst experience over all . Please note - if you don't have cash they charge you GST on top of the extravagant bill
We went there as suggested by my friends. Neat and Cozy place looks bit old but kind of ok. Pizza options are wife variety but seems to be higher on the price segment. Thin crust and an ideal 8 inch pizza can be enough for a person 12 inch can be enjoyed by two. Variety of non veg options but if you are planning for a budget friendly place this is not the shop for you. Overall a good place to hangout with friends if you love pizza
We went there as it was suggested by some blogger on YouTube and had high expectations. Although it's family run and has a non-commercial vibe but we were highly disappointed by the food. We are vegetarians so my review is based on vegetarian pizzas we ordered. We ordered the all vegetarian and chilly cheese pizza, both were below average. The base sauce had no flavour, neither it was seasoned well. The price of the pizzas was comparable to highly reputed pizza chain-The Pizza Express but the taste was no where near it. I respect that it was family run, homely restaurant but at the end food is what is needed to make it special. I am no master chef but i make better pizzas at home. I was surprised by all the awards on the wall. It might be a good place earlier or may be we went there on a wrong day. I wish it offered better tasting food. Cold coffee ordered was good though.
