Hotel Astoria Veg - A Vegetarian Hotel

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Astoria Veg Restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. The quality of the food was truly impressive - every dish was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I personally loved the food; the meals were delicious and satisfying, with just the right balance of spices and taste. Whether you're a vegetarian or just someone who enjoys good food, Astoria Veg is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, quality, and fulfilling veg dining experience!

The service was worst. The 1st floor people gopal, thopas, mohan, shankar, kannan, sharma and others they were rude to us. The didn't give us good quantity of food when compared to other tables. They took away our biryani from the table and didn't give us saying it's over. This is the worst experience of our trip.

Worst experience that I had in the entire kodaikanal. The 1st floor staff here were too rude and were making fun of non- Tamil people. They gave us less quantity in food than others in the hotel. We waited for more than an hour to get the orders to our table, not a good place to have a veg meal in Kodaikanal.

rooms are very neat and clean.. it's very near to bus stand..all foods are very very good.. awesome.. the only disadvantages is car parking... I will give 9 out of 10

One thing that really ticks me off is a deceptive menu, and these guys have just that. I asked for a paneer gobhi and cheese curry (an item on their menu), and they told me they didn't have it. I then ordered a garlic naan (also on their menu), and they didn't even have that! The waiter then informed us that what they actually serve is only a fraction of what's there on the menu. Heights of shamelessness, right there. So I ordered a butter roti and gobi masala. I thank my stars that they had that at least. The food was a little bland for me, but it was good. The waiters were very polite and professional. Overall, it was okay.

Astoria Veg This review is for the Restaurant. Visited this place multiple times for Lunch & dinner during my stay in Kodaikanal. Location: Located in the heart of Kodai Kanal near the bus stand. Parking: Parking can be a challenge due to the location of the restaurant. Ambience: Good and a family friendly place. Food Taste: A pure Vegetarian Restaurant. We tried many items during our visit like, South Indian Thali, Chenna Batura, Onion Utthapam, Rava Dosa, Ghee Idli Sambar, Coffee. In all, all the items tasted were very good. Must try items are the Onion Utthapam, Rava Dosa. The Chinese items are very average, give it a skip. Pricing: Price of all the items are moderate, considering the place and the location. Payments: They accept both, Cash, UPI and Credit cards. My Verdict: A good place to dine, especially for their Dosa items.

During our trip to Kodaikanal, we visited a busy restaurant for lunch that serves delicious vegetarian food. We tried the North Indian cuisine along with the tomato soup. Although we found the soup to be less than tasty, the North Indian dishes were quite enjoyable. Since the restaurant is located in the center of the city, it's an excellent spot to savor a meal.

Good Vegetarian option in Kodaikanal with nominal rates and good Ambience. During peak hours you need to wait for 10 mins max to get your seats. Taste is good and service is fast.
