Hotel Welcome Non-Veg

This is a normal hotel what I expect from this hotel was there. I could see so many people complain about food quality. But actually my experience was way better. I was there two days in kodikanal and for almost 5 times I had food from this hotel only. People are just normal. Food was really good. This place gets filled up very easily which automatically means it has really good food. I liked and if i go again I will recommend this hotel

Had a satisfied dinner in welcome hotel. They have only few items in the menu for dinner but for lunch they serve wide varities. Ghee Podi dosa with their hot Sambar and chutney tastes great for the cold weather. Non veg starters are a must try here

This was, without a doubt, the WORST experience I have ever had at a hotel, primarily due to the RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL behavior of the cashier and the serving staff. Throughout my travels across India, I have never encountered such disgraceful conduct at any restaurant. Right from the beginning, the cashier was unnecessarily aggressive, even reprimanding us for simply cleaning the banana leaf with a tissue, and raising his voice without any justification. The server also shouted at us multiple times while we were placing our order, creating an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere. The situation worsened during the payment process. Despite several attempts, the recipient's G-Pay system failed to work. When I pointed out the issue, the cashier responded with shocking hostility, yelling aggressively and even going so far as to raise his hand as if to strike me, all in full view of my family, including my children. His behavior was outrageously rude and resembled that of a street thug. My children were visibly shaken by the incident. In the end, I had no choice but to pay the bill using the emergency cash I had in my wallet. I strongly urge anyone visiting Kodaikanal to be cautious before dining at this restaurant (Hotel Welcome).

Normal hotel with rocket prices . Biriyani Quantity is very low . Single chicken biriyani costs around 250 & it tasted like roadside kuska . Only Meals & Biriyani available for lunch . Not even chicken boneless available. But the service of the hotel was so great . Quick servings . Cost wise little high for the hotel ambience & level . This hotel is situated inside a narrow small street , 2-3 cars can be parked on the narrow street . Not easy for beginners . So plan accordingly. Overall not worthy for the bucks we pay - instead you can go to park Astoria .

Very good hotel. Keep up the taste and cleanliness. try chicken fry simple masala but neat taste. Mutton brain fry and mutton briyani are good.

Its my second time visiting at this hotel. 3 yeara before when i had from here this hotel was very small. Now they renovated and have better place to sit. Mutton Biriyani and Mutton Biriyani is there speciality. Food was very tasty. But they need to make the service better i suggest. Its a decent place for family as well to have nice authentic Tamil Biriyani. Price is little high in terms of other hotels out there. Tried Chicken Fried, Mutton biriyani and mutton brain fry. I went on weekdays and there was no rush and i could eat food peacefully.

Worst experience ever! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The food quantity is shockingly low for the price they charge--totally not worth the money. To make it worse, they take an unbelievable amount of time to prepare even a simple parcel. The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. What's even more frustrating is the clear bias--they give priority to local people and completely ignore or delay orders for outsiders. Such partial treatment is unacceptable in hotels like this . They charge huge prices and very very low quantity, Totally disappointed!

One of the few eateries in the Naidupuram area of Kodaikanal. The food is palatable, the premises is clean and their service is commendable. Mind you, the only other hotel in Naidupuram is a nasty Ali's a few feet above the Welcome.
