Kodai Boat Club Canteen

Tried the hot chocolate here. Although not the best, it's not bad either. Not too chocolatey, but a little on the sweeter side.

view from this canteen is good but we don't go to a canteen to get a view our first priority is to get food and let me tell you the pav bhaji which i ordered was very very bad. Pav was burned from bottom bcz the cook put the pav on the gas and went somewhere and came back running when he remembered. And bhaji was so bad man, from where did they learned to make bhaji this bad. When I made bhaji for the first time it was 10x better than this. I just don't get it how can someone make so bad food why don't they just learn it from YouTube.

If you are strolling or cycling along the Kodaikanal lake and want a place to sit down and have hot chai, or coffee, and some hot snacks then this place is the one which is unrivaled. There is no other so-called cafe along the lake which has this view and ambience. This is not a premium cafe that you get in the midst of Kodaikanal town ,but a small roadside chai and snacks shop which is nestled inside a Boat club building along the lake . Don't expect wifi at this place. Bring your book or a novel and choose a chair near to the water , sit and spend countless amounts of time here . But this doesn't take away the charm of sitting and having chai and piping hot samosa at this place. This place has a very compact menu with a few items like tea, coffee, badam milk, hot chocolate, etc in hot beverages, and samosa, finger chips, cutlet , etc in snacks. The hot beverages are good but the snacks are not that great . You can sit in the place for hours and have chai , coffee . The place is kept clean , and they have huge dustbins for waste disposal . They do have a small hand wash place , but no washroom . There is also no dedicated car parking here. You have to park your vehicle on the main road along Kodaikanal lake.

Nice canteen on the corner of the Star Shaped Kodaikanal Lake. One could really enjoy the scenery with a cup or tea . Hot & Freshly made snacks like sandwiches are a must have .

Excellent place to eat Snacks items and Fast food. Ambience is good, Taste is superb.. Our Favorite is Samosa

Good place to have tea, coffee, juices and snacks. * The lake side view is the main attraction of the shop.

Just go and buy only coffe , other items are worst ever , I ordered egg Maggie it costs 115 rupees. Totally waste

Located at the kodai lake shore with good seating arrangements overlooking the Kodai lake, simple and good menu, veg sandwich , samosas, veg and egg fried rice noodles an awesome place to sit relax with family and dine , the filter coffee is awesome, a must visit place in kodai, enjoy the hospitality of the crew...
