Customer Reviews & Testimonials
We were here for a short summer getaway and had a memorable and pleasant stay. The team took care of us very well and gave us a personalised experience. Special shout out to Chinar, Akash and Liancy at the reception who helped organise our itinerary. Both the restaurants are exceptional and serve the most delicious food. The chefs are excellent. We were visited by the head chef and given recommendations and special dishes of the day to try. Chef Pushpendu treated us to lovely personalised chaats and sweets. Exceptional table service by Deb, Samuel and Arjun. One of the highlights of the experience here was the mixology session with Sathish and Jegan who were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the cocktails. Since it was also my birthday they also very kindly surprised me with a birthday cake at the end of the session. Lastly, I must mention the activities were a unique experience- the guided trek to Dolphin's nose viewpoint by Vasanth and the guided bird watching session and housie with Ravi. Would have loved to try the Mannanvanur visit and a few more activities if we had an extra day. Would highly recommend visiting Tamara Kodai.
We were looking for a Luxury Resort for our Holidays at Kodai and based on some online research chose the Tamara Kodai. A decision which we certainly did not regret.||Booking was through their site. We opted for a Luxury Suite and the whole booking process was smooth (thanks to Sneha Margaret).||Prior to the date of our arrival, we got a pre-arrival call from the Hotel with necessary inputs which was helpful.||Once we arrived, the check in process was quite smooth. We were given a quick tour about the facility by Ms. Chinar. ||The Suite where we stayed was aesthetically designed and quite comfortable. Beds and pillows were soft (we prefer hard ones though ), Bath was quite nice. The Suite had a living area pls Bed which can be partitioned by a wooden sliding door which helps for privacy.||The Facility offers a temperature-controlled pool which was not big but good. Water quality was very good.||There are two in-house Restaurants- La Providence which offers Buffet services and Bistro that serves A-la-Carte. We tried both, buffet spread was good. ||We had the occasion of our twins' birthday, so we had ordered cake from the Hotel. Ajay Rana from F&B made sure that the cake and the cake cutting went much to our satisfaction. ||The Hotel offers activities (both paid and complimentary) for kids. Our kids took part in the paid activities such as Pizza making, Chocolate moulding and PlayStation and they had good fun. Complimentary activities such as Cricket, Badminton, Carrom, Foosball and TT are also on offer.||Overall, we had great fun during our stay here. Special mention to Ms. Chinar and Mr. Ajay Rane who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable throughout.||A great place for a perfect family get away.
The Tamara property was a great place for a leisurely stay in perfect weather. The suites were luxurious though would prefer darker shades/curtains during the day . The lighting in the rooms could have brighter options.| For a highend property like this one would expect the titbits and softdrinks in the room to be complimentary ( have experienced this in Tripura House,Shillong).| The restuarant (The Bistro) could cater to some simple food for the elderly with a faster service. There seemed to be too many staff there and yet we had to wait for the starters which arrived well after the drinks. | All staff were friendly and courteous and smiling always though communication skills (even English) were below par.| Overall we had a very comfortable stay at Tamara.
My family and I enjoyed an exceptional stay at The Tamara Kodaikanal in May 2025, where the luxury accommodations created a perfect highland retreat. The staff--particularly Vela, Salamon, Packiam, and Somita provided outstanding personalized service that elevated our entire experience. The resort's delicious authentic cuisines, and activities like guided nature walks and various activities kept everyone engaged. The all weather pool was a highlight for my son, and the world-class spa provided much-needed relaxation for us adults. The Tamara offers excellent value through its comprehensive amenities and unparalleled service, making it the perfect destination for families seeking a memorable mountain getaway. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
We had a brief stay at The Tamara, Kodai during May 25. Thoroughly enjoyed the indoor gaming facilities. The courteous and friendly behaviour of the staff is worthy of mention. To mention a few, Liancy, Aakash and Tulasha were extremely friendly and made our stay nice and comfy!! Mr Ramachandran of the Nursery was letting us know how with his income he is supporting his sisters' family too which held us in awe !!
Had a lovely stay at The Tamara Kodai. It's a beautiful, well-maintained 8-acre property with spacious and clean rooms, prompt buggy service, and warm hospitality. The food was a highlight--delicious with an elaborate menu that caters to varied tastes. The pool is small and well-kept. The location is excellent--peaceful, scenic, and conveniently close to key spots in Kodaikanal. That said, if you've experienced Tamara Coorg, this may not match up in terms of grandeur or immersive property experience--but on its own, Tamara Kodai is still a great choice for a peaceful and comfortable stay.

The lunch buffet that we had was amazing. The manager Ajay and the waiters Jegan and Rohit have taken a good care of us. The food from the live kitchen were well-prepared and tasty. We will come to this place again for sure. I am secretly planning with Ajay for something on coming Tuesday for our wedding anniversary.
