Sri Gowrikkrishna Hotel

I eat meals and dinner here.... The quality and taste was very nice .. first class... It's like home cooking.... The staff here served very friendly and ask frequently our need and satisfied our requirements even in crowded time..... A small open parking area in front of hotel is available... When visiting during weekends...it's quite difficult to find a place to park... 1 meals price is. Rs.110 I think so... Seriously worth it .. you can get unlimited rice all other essentials.... Overall it's an best hotel in kumbakonam....

A busy place that serves all vegetarian dishes. Although their meals seemed to be good we got their parotta just to try out how their gravy is and it turned out to be really good. The parotta too was good, it was small, fluffy and flaky. Definitely a must try in town if you're after all vegetarian offerings.

Ordered meals for take away. Quantity was sufficient but needs variety on the sides. This restaurant doesn't have AC. Decent restaurant for veg cuisine dishes.

While searching for lunch options in Kumbakonam, I found this place with great reviews on Google Maps and decided to give it a try. By 1:30 PM, the restaurant was already packed. The waiter suggested trying the meals. Initially, I was hesitant as I wanted to try biryani or other tiffin items, but I went ahead with the meals--and I'm so glad I did! The meal started with unlimited podi and ghee served with rice--absolutely divine. Then came sambar, vatha kulambu, rasam, and moor, all bursting with flavor. They also served one poriyal, one kootu, and appalam. It was a complete feast, and everything on the banana leaf was incredibly tasty. The only downside is parking, as it's quite limited, and I had to park elsewhere. Other than that, this is one of the best lunch spots in Kumbakonam. It's also conveniently located near the Sarangapani Perumal Temple. Highly recommended!

Been here on a weekend evening it was very much crowded took some time to find seats . And took but more time to take order . The food I tried was good and there were no issues , coffee was also good .

I make sure I visit Gowri Krishna every time I come to Kumbakonam for their Parotta and Vegetable Kurma, they are famous and very good. Filter Kapi was top notch, there is truly something really special about their filter decoction. I also had their Butter Podi Thattu idly, it was great too. It is situated near Sri Someswarar Koil and Sarangapani Koil, so worth visiting when you passby.

Nothing new. Asusual no new varieties. Too much of oil observed in applam. No proper response from waiters over there. Average hotel

The ambiance and sofa was in very bad condition.. There was no tissue . The service was quick and responsive. The seating arrangement can be done properly. There is no washroom. The tiffin items like Pongal were superb and also sambhar is tasty. The poori was fresh. They can provide some offers or combos for the betterment. It's already crowded due to its location next to the hotel and behind the Famous Sarangapani temple. The option of items can be more for breakfast.The place is very small.
