Review: Overpriced for What It Offers Despite Good Taste Visited the restaurant recently and while the taste was genuinely good, the pricing left me quite disappointed. The crab omelette was priced almost the same as a mutton biryani, which felt excessive. The meals come with only rice and an empty non-veg kulambu -- no side dishes included, and you're required to pay extra for anything else. Even worse, side dishes aren't served in measured quantities, and it's unclear if they would provide more if requested. I was also surprised to see a small piece of nei meen (smaller than a child's palm) priced at 250, which just doesn't feel justified. In short, great taste but definitely not value for money. There are many places that serve equally good food at far more reasonable prices. Wouldn't recommend if you're expecting a fulfilling meal without burning a hole in your pocket.

I didn't get any opportunity to explore the list of best restaurants in Madurai. So just check the Google map for some mess. On the street I saw many boards and end up in getting here. Was not a bad option the chicken biriyani was really tasty better than any jeerasamba biriyani what we are getting in kerala. The pepper chicken was also really nice. The quantity of side dishes is just for a person and the prices are on higher side. Parking you will get on the street side.

Tried Biryani along with non veg meals. Very average taste and quantity. Side dishes including mutton chops, kola urandai all were good. Tried crab omelette which is overrated. Not worth. Overall average taste and more pricey comparatively.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a great experience. The fried king fish was perfectly cooked and had a delicious crispy coating. The prawns masala was full of flavor and had just the right amount of spice. The kola urundai was a unique and tasty dish that I had never tried before. And finally, the crab meat omelette was a great twist on a classic dish. The only reason I am giving this restaurant a 4-star review instead of a 5-star review is because the rate was a bit high. However, the delicious food made up for it. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal with unique and flavorful dishes.

Chandran mess had mixed off reviews in the past and I had it personally, but now it's truly a great experience having a meal in there. Visited a weekday, it's crowded and we had to wait for a few minutes to get a table. Ordered mutton Briyani and Non-Veg meals which they severed three type of gravies Mutton, Chicken and Fish all of them delicious and it's like home made. Fish fry must try. Their service is improved a lot and it's a good and food experience.

I visited this place with family 4 days back, and their intention is not to feed you but to rip you off. It was so costly with average food. Don't fall for their kindness and etiquette. Most probably, it'll be included in the bill. We had 2 chicken biriyani, 2 plain biriyani, 2 mutton chukka, 8 kola urundai and 1 mutta kari, they handed over a bill of freaking 2300/-, it'll not be this much even in bangalore. After all this, food is pretty average.

One among the best hotel in Madurai . Birayani was average . Crab omelette was good and it's must try . Fish items ware fresh and delicious. The price is high.
