One of the important landmark of Mannargudi is Ulavan. The restaurant serves variety of organic / tamil traditional food items at very reasonable price. The menu is very vast , featuring millet snacks to full meal served in banana leaf. The quality of food served is uncompromised, hygienic. Ideal pace to dine with friends and family.

Good. But the water they provide for drinking is hard. Somewhat salty I told the cashier, he simply says we are providing the water supplied by Municipal water connection.. But it is salty.

Amazing food. Authentic traditional food at a very affordable cost. A must try restaurant in Mannargudi.

Found this place randomly while scouting google maps and I was totally impressed. Their ambience may seem like a regular roadside dhaba but these guys make some of the best dishes in mannargudi. The waiters were very courteous and quick. The price was lighter on the pockets too. If you are in mannargudi, do yourself a favour and visit this place. Parking may be a bit of a hassle here. If the owner reads this, please work on making your ambience to make it pleasing and relevant to your theme.

Its an Experience, this Mannai Uzhavan. Owned and managed by an ever smiling, ever polite, ever efficient Mr Arun, this eatery takes us back to an earlier age, lost today! Food, taste and ambience that strive to keep alive traditions of Tamilnadu. Clincher, most reasonable prices! Mr Arun, my suggestion - can you arrange piped music that softly plays traditional tamil music throughout the day? Like folk songs, villup paattu, nagaswaram, parai aattam, etc?

A highly quality food.. Prepared with atmost care. I have no second thought for a vegetarian hotel

A must try Veg hotel. They have tasty food and healthy food like poridge, herbal tea etc. Person who wants to try authentic old days food must visit here.
