Annamithra-Pure Veg Restaurant

We visited this restaurant randomly and it was worth it. They have two sections of dining room with A/C and without A/c. Typical South Indian restaurant, service was pretty decent. They have restrooms outside the restaurant and parking is bit challenging. Since we have to park the vehicle on roadside. Definitely you can give it a try here.

They have good variety of food. I loved the Mudakathan dosai with Garlic Chutney. But chutney came with the stem of Garlic. Also there is no cleanliness especially in the hand wash area

Place is outside the town, so bit less traffic and good. Car parking available by roadside but depends on your luck. Ordered veg biriyani, and was too salty. They name various items with Fancy names, but nothing special in it. Service horrible. They gave wooden spoon to use it for serving ourselves gravies - Gobi masala. They don't have menu card to look at and they ask us stare at the display for the menu. Pathetic. In nutshell, Average restaurant with fancy food names. NOTE: Please don't reply with the template of reporting the concern to a number. It is ALREADY DONE.

Annamithra is pure vegetarian restaurant in Mayiladuthurai. They have 2 hotels adjacent to one another. The main one serves pure vegetarian food and the Annamithra Yuva serves pastries/ fast food etc The vegetarian restaurant has an AC section and a non AC section. I would suggest sitting in the non-AC section as is far more pleasant Food is very good and fresh. I had their Ghee Dosa, which unlike the traditionally made Tamil Nadu dose was roasted well. Over all a clean and nice place

Annamithra is a pure vegetarian restaurant located near Vallalar Kovil Mayiladuthurai. The restaurant offers a variety of tiffins, lunch and varieties of South Indian and North India dishes in the evening. Neat and hygiene restaurant, friendly staffs, tasty food will make you to visit multiple times. Highlight in the lunch is the thick curd (ketttti tyir) served from earthen pots. In the evening must try is Panchu Dosai with Poondu kuzhambhu and their Parotta varieties.

Great food and good service.. loved the meals and the quantity, worth the money paid. Thanks to Nithya the waitress for making a great experience.

Worst food we ever tasted... Mushroom biryani too salty... Though we informed, no response. Meals utter waste, nothing was good in it. Thought atleast can eat parotta, but too oily with zero taste and very hard. Salna also wasn't good. Finally I went out and had juice. Didn't try sambar rice as the sambar given in meals wasn't good.

Pathetic... Since 0* is not there, have to give 1*. The worst food we had in a veg midclass restaurant in years. Sambar, rasam and water are distinguishable only with color. Don't expect vegetables in sambar. Puli saadham and sambar rice are nearly similar. Rice quality is also bad.. almost boridge. Bon appetit if you decide to eat here.. ate lunch on 8 June 2025
