New Kaliakudi Veg Restaurant

"I recently visited Kaliakudi Veg Restaurant and was impressed by the ambiance. The place is clean, well-lit, and has a pleasant atmosphere that makes dining enjoyable. The staff was polite and courteous, ensuring that customers felt welcomed and attended to. However, my experience with the food was disappointing. I opted for a takeaway order of barota, veg biryani, and curd rice. While the curd rice was fresh, flavorful, and enjoyable, the other items were far from satisfactory. The barota was dry and lacked the softness one would expect, making it difficult to eat. The veg biryani was even more disappointing--it lacked flavor, and the texture of the rice was not up to the mark. It seemed poorly prepared, leaving much to be desired in terms of taste and quality. Given the restaurant's good ambiance and polite staff, I had higher expectations for the food. Unfortunately, the lack of consistency in the quality of the dishes overshadowed the positives. It's clear that more attention needs to be given to food preparation and ensuring that all items on the menu meet a certain standard. While the curd rice was a saving grace, the overall experience left me feeling unsatisfied. I hope the management takes steps to improve the quality of their food, as the restaurant has great potential. For now, I'd recommend dining in for the ambiance but suggest caution when ordering certain dishes."

There is not much veg meals hotel in mayiladuthurai.. Its one of the old veg restaurants..customer service is good.. Comfort taste for old age people..only for meals.. Not good for variety rice especially dont go for veg biryani.. We had only parotta and meals.. That's good..

Everyone thinking that it is a old kaalia kudi hotel, the fact is there is a owner change in the hotel. You cannot expect the same old test which the same hotel had 30 40 years back. This hotel is famous for tiffin, in those days we call this hotel tiffin kaliyakudi hotel. There was another hotel for meals. Basically you can expect reasonable taste for Italy dosai Pongal rava dosai.. .. good coffee. In the evening halva was famous but not nowadays.

Probably one of the oldest hotels in Mayiladuthurai. A pure vegetarian hotel. Famous for Traditional Filter Coffee. Tasty food. Well maintained.

Very poor quality food. Went there drooling by the name Kaliakudi and the reviews by famous author Sujata and all - alas it turned out to be a big disappointment:-(

I was very surprised to see this hotel with average stuff. The old taste is not at all nearer to the present. Ambience is good but the taste is not up to the mark. Had morning tiffin. Nothing special to convey. Slowly becoming an average hotel. Visit this hotel without the thoughts about the 80s 90s Kaliyakudi . Comparison is arising here because of the name. Otherwise, this hotel is at par with other A grade hotels. Nice to have tiffin, lunch and dinner with family. Service is to be improved.

Good and tasty veg food. Car parking very difficult due to the location and no facility

An ordinary hotel. My friend gave an introduction to this hotel is that he used take food when he was working here in 1986. So, I wanted to taste to find their speciality. It is fully air conditioned. One way it is good. Other way no initiation taken by the management to control food's smell filling that hall. While entering itself the smell irritates. Food is very average. Not bad or not good. Worth for the money paid. Staff members are to be more professional with neat and clean dress, ect. Not to expect anything special by their years of experience. This is an ordinary but moderte veg restaurant in a prime locality
