Hotel Sri Gowri Shankar Boarding and Lodging

We stayed at Hotel Sri Gowri Shankar Boarding and Lodging in Nagercoil for two days. The hotel features a vegetarian restaurant on the ground floor, where we had lunch, dinner, and breakfast during our stay. The food was tasty and enjoyable, adding a positive note to our experience. However, the quality of the rooms left much to be desired. The cleanliness was not up to standard, and basic amenities such as water bottles and toiletries were not provided. Guests are expected to bring their own essentials. Even towels and bedsheets were only provided upon request, which was inconvenient. To improve guest satisfaction, the hotel should focus on maintaining cleaner rooms and ensuring that basic necessities are readily available without requiring requests. With these enhancements, the overall experience could be significantly better.

This hotel food is not good, not a hygienic place. They served us a spoiled food. Idli is very sour and all foods are spoiled. Plates cups are not washed properly. Totally this is not good. Full kitchen masters are north Indians so the food making is not hygienic and the place is very very dirty.

Good quality good ! Enjoyed breakfast ! It even has a wallpaper about tourist spots in Tamil Nadu, with their distances, which is highly relevant for travellers like me

One of the worst behaviour of counter(thin) boy I have come a cross in whole of Tamil Nadu. Who insisted on for making payment in cash only. When I asked why don't you have QR code for payment. He started threatening me saying if you can't make payment in cash go away eat elsewhere. When I argued with him he agreed to accept payment through credit card . It clearly shows the unaccounted money collected in cash are being not disclosed to the authorities. I will definitely bring it to the notice of the appropriate highest authorities to verify and take appropriate action .

One of the worst taste in nagerkovil suitable only for north Indian's and they provided spoiled curd vada, i have a vamit after eating vada, but one thing i understood wherever north Indian's works it will not suitable for south Indian culture

Had lunch here. Meals and Veg biriyani tasted good. Reduced 1 star, because Curd rice was lil salty and have asked for extra curd (was ready to pay the curd amt too) but despite asking more than 4 times, curd wasn't provided. Customer service could be improved.

The entire nation is going for digitisation but this restaurant always insist to make payment through cash only. Why this restaurant doesn't allow digital payment is suspicious. Anyway, the food supplied here is satisfactory.
