Very tasty biryani we had on the way to Valparai. Service was awesome and timely. Pepper chicken was ultimate. White rice with rasam was good.

I am usually not a person who writes reviews, but this place it's simple environment and finger licking food makes me want to write more about it. If you plan to visit pollachi or tourist spots around here you must definitely drop in to taste their infamous yet absolutely delicious "fish curry". Its a 10/10 for me. This place is a underrated gem.

Date of visit: 07 Nov 23. Not upto the hype. Very limited menu, not much options to choose from. Their fish meals which they say they are popular for is ridiculous. Basically they serve a thin slice of farm raised fish ( Eri vavval, which costs like 120rupees a kg) and charge you 170 rupees for the meal. Quality of rice is bad and slightly undercooked, and you dont get what you would usually expect in a full meals. Following were served Undercooked rice, bland fish gravy, thin slice of fish, one veg that too simply boiled and sauted, no chicken or mutton gravy, mushy appalam which folds like a hand kerchief. Not worth the drive and cost. Add ons: a) Only three options in side dish, two of which were not available when we visited. b) The space was empty during peak hours, the cue which we didn't get before being served. Locals are avoiding this eatery for a reason. Thanks to youtubers and influencers whom at this point I think ruins our time and money for a free meal. Edit for Hotel's reply :The same meal with fish, better taste and add ons are easily available everywhere, even in nearby pollachi for 70 to 80 rupee. Charging like a premium restaurant without providing/ compromising not one but all, such as similar meals, ambience, service is unacceptable. You could simply check online for the price of the fish being served. In addition one can check online food delivery apps to compare with your meals. In my opinion a bowl of fish gravy with a small piece of farm raised fish and no other gravy doesn't cut for 170 rupees. Customer doesn't have to point out the obvious/ basics to your management for self correction, when everything is compromised which seems to be done intently.
