Sree Saravana Bhavan Supreme

Saravana Supreme is a hidden gem -- kinda literally and figuratively :) It's located one level below the ground floor. Food is amazing, ambience and service could improve though. We tried the following items: - Masala Dosa: Dosa and Masala were super tasty. Red and Green chutney had a mild taste and flavor, but very unique. Sambar was a little on the spicier side but in a very nice way. - Badam Paal / Badam Milk: Other restaurants in Salem (like Aasai Dosa for example) would call this Masala Paal. The pista and badam in the milk add some crunch and essence to it. Bit on the sweeter side, but you won't be disappointed. They provide you two options: Hot and Cold. We tried it hot, and can confidently say it tastes better than the cold option that you usually get for Badam Milk elsewhere :D Ghee Podi Masala: Podi is pretty spicy, but in a very nice way again. They do sprinkle a generous amount of Podi in the dosa, so if you can't handle spicy, might not be your best bet. Kambu Dosa: Millet based, but it was decent. Believe they offer 1 "healthy" special dosa variety almost every day/every other day. Appam Paya/Kurma: Served hot. Neither too soft, not too crispy. Tasted perfect! They also offered Thengapaal (Sweet Coconut Milk) if you ask for it specifically. Idly: Very soft. Served hot. Ambience can service could improve, but won't complain too much really :) A/C ambience is better. Overall, easily one of the best restaurants in Salem for the taste.

Good vegetarian restaurant in Salem. Food: - Ghee Podi Dosa: This had lots of dry gunpowder in the dosa which made it very spicy and difficult to swallow. Otherwise the taste was good. It was accompanied by theee types of chutneys: coconut, coriander and tomato chutneys. - Almond/Badam milk: This tasted more like masala milk. It was very tasty with pistachios and nuts. - Others at my table had appam and plain dosa and those were apparently better items. Service: - The service was a bit slow and they could do a better job of explaining what's on the menu.

Food is very tasty and good quality then service is very quick to deliver to the order food... Chilli parota is very tasty

Hotel has good atmosphere.But It costs 163 rs for a ghee roast. Nowadays some of the hotels are trying to hike the food cost and fails to justify for the hike. When customer feels like cheated after paying the supplier, there is the starting phase of degradation of the entire work.

Fantastic restaurant and dining is a bliss always! Taste is always the same and good! Every time I come to salem this place is a must visit for my dosa hunt! The staff is very friendly and professional. The place is renewed and contains air conditioning hall as well. Most of the time you will get good quality regular food.Parrota and rose milk is my favourite dish here. Excellent service.

Mostly had evening dinner before boarding the bus..surely recommend for a quick veg dinner around Salem moffusil bus stand..kids will love it too since lots of options are available..idiyappam with two fluids(sweet coconut milk and avial broth) along with mini idly and filter coffee are my favourite..

Very very costly. Rates are twice that of same calibre hotel in Salem. I strongly recommend not to try this hotel. Rava dosa Rs.115 where as the same is Rs.60 at Iyyar mess.
