Clarks Inn Express Sirkazhi

Rooms are average and not very good but okey for the budget. Room Service is too late. Dinner which I had is not at all good, not sure how crispy ghee dosa become so soft chapati and plates both are hard as rock . Worst part is they don't even have a night lamp in a room. Bathrooms are small but neat that's the reason I gave atleast 2 star.

****WORST EXPERIENCE**** Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. We were charged Rs. 5600/- for two rooms, including complimentary breakfast. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were informed that the complimentary breakfast was applicable for only one room, and the guests in the second room would need to pay. After a prolonged argument and verifying our booking details, the staff admitted their mistake and finally agreed to provide complimentary breakfast for both rooms. One of the staff members, Mr. Kamal, was exceptionally rude and unprofessional, which only added to the unpleasantness. The food served was of very poor quality. To make matters worse, I ended up vomiting after eating their food, and it left me feeling unwell. It's evident that consuming their food could lead to stomach problems. The overall attitude of the restaurant staff was disheartening, and at times, we felt like leaving without finishing our breakfast. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry to move to our next destination and were forced to stay. The entire ordeal took over an hour and a half--30 minutes arguing about the breakfast and another hour waiting for the food to be served. At checkout, we encountered another issue when the receptionist tried to overcharge us for the room service bill, demanding nearly double the actual amount (Rs. 650/- instead of Rs. 330/-). The behavior of the staff at both the reception and restaurant was unfriendly and unhelpful, making the overall experience unpleasant. The hygiene and cleanliness were equally disappointing. The toilets were not cleaned properly, and the food quality was subpar, making it highly inadvisable to eat here. The service and staff behavior do not justify the high rates charged by the hotel. The photos on their website and other platforms are highly misleading and do not reflect the reality of the experience.

The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, from the warm welcome to the delicious breakfast. The staff were attentive, the rooms were modern and clean, and the amenities were top-notch. We were impressed by the high standards of cleanliness and comfort maintained by the housekeeping department. The location of this hotel is perfect. The hotel is within distance to many popular attractions.

This nice hotel is right on the highway to Kumbakonam from Sirkazhi. It is only 5 min drive from the Sirkazhi railway station. Clean comfortable rooms with a restaurant in the ground floor (also one Balaji restaurant 100 m away). All the staff were polite and friendly. The hotel can help with finding a good transport to visit temples around the lovely town.

I visited Clarks Inn Express restaurant this morning with my mother and my son for breakfast. Though the food was fine, but service was not acceptable. When we entered the place, there was no one to welcome us, so we just chose our table ourselves and waited. After about 15 minutes, we had to ask for attention. Thereafter, a staff member came to ask us what we needed. Then again, we never got what we ordered because no one confirmed our order. Anyway, we ate what was given to us and left. I would say the service was slow and poor, but the food was good.

Had a very good experience. Rooms are neat and clean. Only veg food is available but it's very good. Has separate rooms for drivers to stay.

I guess i have stayed in worse. This, not being a major city, one cannot expect international traveler standard hotels, this is probably top pick in this area and maybe ok for a night's stay.|The room was ok, sheets clean enough but still not convincing, that I used my own that i travel with. There was a power outage but they had a generator. However, i dont think the AC worked on generator, it was quite warm with just the fan. The washroom is a wet floor one (shower and western toilet in the same room), no amenities provided except a mini medimix soap bar, no toilet paper. They did provide our driver with a room. |The worst of all - no filter coffee, only instant. Do they know they are in Tamilnadu, close to kumbakonam? They did not offer to even send someone to get it and told us we had to go get it ourselves from the Aavin across. The breakfast was not that great, would skip next time and get to temples early and get prasadam there.

Nice place , well kept . A five for cleanliness. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would like to specifically mention the service of Mr Ganesh of the reception who helped us in arranging local transport and made our stay pleasant. Will definitely recommend this place .The food is average and could be improved.
