Visited here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with family . Do ask for server Viji as she knows a little english and is very helpful. We ordered the Chicken Biryani and chicken Kongu ( a semi dry chicken starter cooked in traditional spices). We were served by server Viji. She was very polite and professional. The food was served to us within minutes. Service was very fast. One portion of the biryani was enough for 3 adults. It contained one boiled egg and 2 pieces of chicken. We were served on a banana leaf which was used as a plate . We were then served onion raita ( sliced onion in curd) , a brinjal/ eggplant gravy and a sweet ( sheera aka sooji halwa). The starter was very tasty. We had Elaneer payasam for dessert was a coconut based cold dessert with pieces of tender coconut. It was very yummy and must try.

First Biriyani Restaurant in Sulur for family as well as friends. Taste is good and price is high when compared to other local restaurants in this area. The service staffs were good. Need to wait for dining beacuse it is located in main road.

Average taste.. biriyani was unavailable at 9:30.. anything we ordered from the menu was unavailable... Finally we ordered chicken Kari dosai... But as it was not available they gave mutton curry dosai.... Which was like garlic curry dosai .. Vazhai ilai parotta also had the same mutton stuffing.... Egg dosa was saltless ... chicken 65 boneless was tasty. but had only 5 small pieces....Overall taste was below average.... Kindly improve the taste, so it will be great .. ambience was good...

Located on the main Trichy road in Sulur, the restaurant is known for its Biryani. Even though I have stopped eating non-veg, I still went along with the gang as it was a first time for me to visit the restaurant. I thought, if nothing veg was available, I could always have some egg dish. The little building has a nice look to it. There's a small parking space too. As we climbed the stairs and opened the door we were impressed by the seating arrangement. It's not a big restaurant but the seating arrangement is done well. On one side of the table is a sofa and on the other side are a pair of cushioned and comfortable chairs. The dishes available on the menu card are non-veg. There's a small selection of veg varieties too. The gang ordered non-veg while I went for naan with pepper mushroom. I also ordered paneer dragon as side dish. The taste was super spicy. You not only had green chilly in it but also a good quantity of red chilly. Maybe that's why it's called dragon dish. The good thing was that we were served on banana leaves. Before the main dish arrived we were served three side dish in the form of a sweet item, sliced onion mixed in curd and a dish made of mashed brinjal. We didn't have to wait for long before the main course arrived. The one drawback was that in the name of sweet dish we only had cold drinks. We were told that the sweet dish will be available only in the evening. The price for each dish was also not very expensive looking at the quantity served of each dish. The staff was well behaved and neatly dressed taking care of the hygiene. The order was taken on a digital device. Overall a spicy and delicious experience of eating out at 'The Legendary Salem RR Biryani'. Do give it a try if you are a fan of non-veg food.

Just came out from the restaurant. Such a terrible biriyani, too much of masala anx salty. We you will forget about biriyani taste. Addition to this, service was really bad, i had ask for a Raitha to 3 or 4 peoples and no one bothered and didn't served. I did not complete my food and left..i wouldn't suggest anyone to visit there!!

We were asked to sit in a single people table, half of my leaf was out of table. This itself irritated us, note we are also paying same money. Please have a common sense.

Very Bad experience. Some one vomitted in the Wash basin when we went to do the hand wash. Worst taste Briyani. Mutton doasi had sand particles when ever I chew it. Lollipop was very salty. Informed the service person. Too much hype. First and last visit to RR Briyani.
