Nice ambience with authentic vegetarian food.. Normal meals also available.. But unlimited meals with more than 30 items is really worth the try.. The chutneys they swerved were mouth watering. All items were tasty and service is best.. They are keeping items in mud pots.. Must try at least ones..

Food is taste-wise normal. The Thanjavur special meal has only 8 items and a 200 rs charge; they told me to take individual dishes. It's a scam; each dish is 25 rs so that they can make more money. For 350 Rs, unlimited AC food... Today for me it's a pathetic scam, getting money from common people Service is pathetic.... Don't go...dishes normal taste... For coming to Thanjavur to explore and trying something new food.. Money is not a problem for me, okay... 25 Rs per item, 15 items - it's around 375. Okay... Then serving sambar, buttermilk, puliyodarai, rasam, etc. Also, an additional amount is to be paid. I clearly asked the serviceman; he suggested whatever you want. Choose sambar and the other, and I will give it. That's why I ordered individually, okay.... So your staff misled me. I just plan to try 200 Thanjavur specials. Tally for me; it's enough... Individually coming and eating, you need to improve your service too... Take care of the customer's needs and ask what they want and what the plan is.... Misleading is happening because your staff give clear instructions to ladies: don't give full meals to customers. If full meals are finished, you just clearly say it's just finished. If you have a plan to finish the rest of the food items, don't dump them on someone's heads. It happened today; just ask your service staff. Cross check with the CCTV camera While in the hand wash area, I saw an old lady open a packet for cooking with his teeth. There are no scissors to open the packet. Is this the right way? If youbhave any dought pls check camera in the cooking area , it will be between today at 1:45pm and 2:15pm. So totally disappointed today.

What a traditional historic place this was. Reminding me of my childhood in my hometown. Food was absolute delicious, staff were very friendly, all of the cooking were made in traditional old efficient style. Would highly recommended this place. I saw lot of foreigners which actually gives you the idea how clean is this place.

I was very much intrigued by the theme of the restaurant where it gave feel of eating on mud pot vessels and the wood fire based cooking due to its enhanced rustic taste that it gives. I was not disappointed at all. The service was top notch by the staff there. Even though it was peak time we went, the staff were so cordial. We ordered special meals and regular meals. Boy !! It was so good, lot of options to choose and we had a very tasty and satisfying meals. Do check it out when you come to thanjavur. A small note to owner: I understand it would be tough for you to maintain lot of things with the crowd and stuff, but it would be nice if you smile and be little cordial to your customers. It would elevate your service. Just a suggestion.

We opted for the 30-side dish meal, and it was a fantastic experience--one of the highlights of our recent trip to Tamil Nadu. If you're not a local, I highly recommend dining in the AC hall. The staff will serve each side dish in order and explain its significance, making the meal even more enjoyable. The restaurant also offers ample parking along the street, which is convenient since it's not a busy road.

Authentic traditional homely vegetarian food. Price also affordable, taste is good and 4 kms from temple. I visited on Christmas day and there was no much waiting. Service is good and plantain leaf lunch we had. Enjoyed the lunch here

The overall experience was fantastic. They offer authentic Thanjavur-style meals, prepared using wood for cooking, and some items are even made in traditional mud pots. ***** A key thing to remember is that they only serve meals during lunch, from 12:30 to 3:00 PM--no meals are available at night. **** For dinner, they serve dishes like paddu, upma, puttu, appam, dosa, and idli, with chutney and other Veggies. The chutneies were excellent, and the staff member who served us took the time to explain the dishes in detail.
