I recently had the chance to dine here with family, and it was an enjoyable experience overall - definitely worth 4 stars. The interior is elegant, with a modern yet traditional South Indian touch. The seating is spacious, and the place is kept clean and well-maintained. The soft lighting and comfortable atmosphere made our dinner feel quite special. The menu is impressive, offering a wide range of dishes including South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, and some continental options. We ordered butter naan, paneer butter masala, chicken tikka, and fried rice. Everything tasted delicious, especially the paneer which was soft and flavorful. The spice levels were well-balanced and suited to a wide audience. The service was prompt and polite. The staff was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we were comfortable throughout. One small drawback was the slight delay in bringing out all the dishes together - but it was understandable, as the restaurant was fairly busy during dinner hours. Portions were generous and prices felt fair for the quality and setting. The only suggestion would be to improve dessert variety on the menu. Overall, Grand Dine is a great place for family dinners or casual get-togethers in Thanjavur. With its quality food, neat ambiance, and courteous service, it's a restaurant I'd gladly return to and recommend.

A really nice place in Thanjavur to eat. They have many varieties . And the staffs are really patient and fulfill your order. Ambience was neat and nice. You can customize your order. A good place to spend quality time with your friends and family. The only complaint is ....the room spray was too strong that the place smelled more like a lodge than restaurant . It was fine otherwise!!

We stopped there for lunch. Ordered multiple items. All turned out to be great. The portion size is also good. This restaurant is pocket friendly. The only thing is that there is no proper parking space available.

Food is all Gravy and less veggies. Malai kofta is tasty. Mix veg is equally bad. Tandoori Roti is Good. Ambience is good . Just so so option for Vegetarians. Parking is very limited.

One of the worst restaurants in thanjavur which is unnecessarily hyped. Food was very abyssmal. The atmosphere is very dark in normal Area they didnt even bother to switch on the lights also couldn't even properly see the food. In a/c hall some kind of room freshener has been used way too much and it was very nauseating. Food taste particularly biryani was the worst . Butter naan wasn't even properly cooked. Chicken tikka masala was bad. Price was very high too.

Actually the dish they gave as mutton biryani tasted as a ghee rice. Other than that remaining were good

Went here for lunch today. I was surprised by the ambience here. It gave a feeling of the old London that we see in old movies and i liked it very much. But that was the only thing I liked here.I ordered chicken soup,butter naan and malai kofta , which took an astounding 40 minutes to arrive.The chicken soup was okay , the butter naan was too thick and malai kofta was the worst. I have heard my friends say it was good when they were here last year but I wonder what happened now.The panneer kofta was so dry that I choked on it 2 times. Talking about the service, there was no water jug provided for the table and the waitresses come by to refill your glass , but were nowhere to be seen when water was needed (after eating).Also the whole restaurant seemed to have only 1 air conditioner for the entire restaurant, which was inadequate for this summer.I requested the waitresses to switch on the fan , but the request was ignored.I was drenched by the time i finished my lunch.Bill was also provided very late after my meal. Overall a below average experience.
