The Tanjore Cafe

The atmosphere is usually calm, cozy, and stylish, making it a great spot for relaxing, meeting friends, or even working with a coffee in hand. Staff members are often friendly and knowledgeable, happily explaining ingredients or suggesting dishes for first-time visitors.

Had a nice lunch here: the Mini Meal for Rs. 100 is a great deal. Tasty and filling. To look for a place to eat near here I searched in Google Maps. It said Sri Abirami Bhavan and Sree Ariya Bhavan were highly rated. And indeed the reviews were compelling, while the reviews for The Tanjore Cafe were mixed and the rating is low. Ariya claimed to have a long history of great food, so we went there. It's not a nice place. Tables and chairs packed in. Busy. We asked for a table for two and they brusquely asked a couple to leave because they'd finished eating. We got out of there. The Tanjore Cafe: step down half a floor to a quiet air-conditioned place with large seating and lots of seats available (I guess because of poor ratings). The waiters explained the menu. The Mini Meal sounded promising. Ordered it, and it exceeded the promise. They lost 1 star in the ambience category because I spotted a mosquito. But this place is head and shoulders nicer than the local better-rated competition.

Today, my family and I visited the restaurant and ordered two sets of chapati. Unfortunately, the quality was extremely poor, and it appeared to be an old food item being sold. We brought this to the waiter's attention, but our concerns were ignored. It seemed that the waiter was more interested in receiving tips, while the owner was solely focused on making sales. Neither seemed to care about the quality of the food or customer satisfaction. Due to this disappointing experience, we will not be returning to the hotel."

Visited in diwali festival period and staff was able to manage the crowd, could not attend them, offer water. They need to improve their service.

Vegetarian restaurant (south&North indian dishes, chinese etc) Good atmosphere, food was good (Lunch is really good compared to other places) Servers/waiters are really friendly.. We add breakfast and lunch there. The food is tasty and Suresh made us feel like VIP's. He goes above and beyond to make the customer feel attended to.

One of the worst hotels I have ever visited...Poor Hospitality....Poor Food....Dosa and Parotta are not even fresh and hot....Waiters behaviour is outrageous.
