I visited Thoppi Vapa Biryani in Thanjavur one afternoon. The restaurant is located conveniently near the railway station, making it easy to access. Ambiance: 3.5/5 The atmosphere was decent, clean, and suitable mainly for families and groups of friends. It didn't feel very couple-friendly, so keep that in mind if you are planning a visit. Service: 4/5 Service was good. The staff were polite and served the food within a reasonable waiting time. Food Quality: 3/5 I ordered Chicken Rice and Tandoori Chicken. The Tandoori Chicken felt more like grilled chicken, mainly because it was overly oily and had a heavy masala coating. However, the taste itself was fine. The Chicken Rice was slightly dry and, considering the price, the portion and satisfaction level were not up to the mark. Overall Experience: While the food had its highs and lows, the service and convenient location made the visit satisfactory. I'd rate my overall experience at 3.8/5.
I bought chicken biryani today from Topi Vappa's Railway Station branch, and it was the worst experience I've had. The chicken was not properly cooked, customer service was awful, and the price (220) is completely overrated for the quality. Very disappointing experience. We visited Thanjavur Toppi Vappa Biryani Restaurant as a group of six and ordered biryani and other dishes. The food was not hot, lacked taste, and felt like a total waste of money. The service was also very poor -- slow and careless. Definitely not worth the price. Not recommended.
