Vairamaligai Rooftop Restaurant

We recently visited this restaurant with a group of 8 and split into two groups--one for veg and one for non-veg. The non-veg setup was absolutely marvelous. The ambiance, especially on the rooftop, was very pleasant, and the music playing on the TV added to the overall atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience there. However, for the vegetarian side, we dined at a different hotel (Aaryas). The food was good, but unfortunately, there was a small piece of a vessel washing brush found in the paneer fried rice, which was a bit disappointing. Despite that, the food and service were still commendable. Overall, the experience at the main hotel was excellent, and I would recommend it, especially for the non-veg options and the lovely ambiance.

We had nice and tasty food over here. The shop was crowded when we reached there but the service was fast and we served within 5 -10 minutes after we ordered. My personal favourite is the mutton biryani. Recommended and must visit for me on my next trip .

Too crowded on the weekend, very difficult to find a table... They don't have sufficient man power to maintain on weekends... Biriyani & Boratta average taste...

Vairamaligai is a famous chain of restaurants in Tirunelveli. We visited this branch for lunch on a weekend. It was super crowded when we arrived and had to wait for few minutes for the table to get allotted. But once the table was allotted, everything was super speedy. We tried mutton biriyani and few chicken dishes and everything tasted good. Staffs were responsive and friendly. They offer halal food. Both AC and Non AC halls are available there. Rooftop is also available at evenings between 6 to 11 PM in third floor. They also offer space for Islamic prayer in second floor. Good amount of parking space is available. Recommended for families.

The roof top set up was nice and it becomes over crowded during the weekends. Taste wise the food is yummy. If you like your chicken cooked in coconut oil, this place will not dissapoint you. Parota and country chicken fry was delicious. Service was slightly slow yet you can enjoy the ambience. Dont forget to ask tge waiter for the used coconut oil. They bring it in a small kinnam like a dip. You can try mixing it with parota or rice.

This is not exactly the rooftop experience but the A/C restaurant in the ground floor. After being suggested by several of my travel and foodie network, got a chance to experience a lunch with my family while travelling from Thiruchendur to Tirunelveli. Food - decent regular tasting biriyani with less interesting sides for non veg meals. Only item which stood out was the nattu kozhi roast which was made with coconut oil but that lacks quantity. This dish is strictly for one person only and cannot be shared sumptuously with another. Parotta was old and not freshly made. Service - we were not provided with a menu card and didn't got better suggestions and recommendations to order. I had to use insights from my friends to order. Inspite of these the food got delivered bit swiftly - all together. May be I was into this place with high expectations and also to note this is just a first and one of experience with which I do not want to judge regular dining experience. I'll try once in the chennai branch and hopefully it should be better.

Daaammnnn! I don't know how to begin to describe my experience here. Went here from dinner as we were looking for some good dinner. Ordered mutton Chuka, chicken chops, wheat porotta, normal porotta, veg fried rice, veg kulcha, veg curry and orange juice. Let me talk about each of the dishes individually, to begin with, the veg fried rice came cold! Like it was taken out of the fridge and just heated on the surface inside of a microwave! Damn! Chicken nattu chops were so cold that it was like an ice cream popsicle. Mutton Chukka was actually spicy good for the taste but it was terribly oily and had less pieces of mutton in it and not worth the amount you pay for it. The veg curry tasted good but yet again so oily that it could give you cholesterol rush! Damn! The porotas was actually good and so was the kulcha! That's the only good side to it. The service was alright, but I felt the customers inside the AC hall got better service while we sat in the non AC area. Overall, I would not recommend this place as the price you pay and the food quality you get are no match! Damn!

We ordered mitton biriyani, fish finger, chocolate milkshake, rice, rasam, chicken 65,chicken lollipop, prawn65 and parrota. all the dish was too good but the only thing is the rice was not cooked properly. But we enjoyed a lot. BEST EVER PLACE TO VISIT!!
