Saatvik Veg Restaurant

Food was fantastic. We totally loved it!!! Visited twice; first time had Dosas and fried rice--loved sambar. On the following day we had South Indian meals--very authentic and superb! Strongly recommend, as we personally loved.

We ordered idli vada and puri masala. Puri masala was good. Idli vada was not so good. Chatni was spoiled. Sambar was good. Service good.

Satvik is a decent mid sized restaurant specializing in south Indian cuisine and also offers chat & north Indian dishes. This is barely at a distance of 100m from one of the key entrances of the Arulmigu Arunachaleswarar Temple. Most of the attendants are women employee's; and their service is quick & courteous. I'd say the quality of the food was good & hygiene; however the taste was just over average (not a wow factor). This restaurant is housed within another hotel (can't recall the name) with boarding facilities. We tried their special south Indian meal which has the standard rice based menu and when you order the special thali they also serve the Podi (gun-powder), ghee & a couple of other accomplishments. Simple restaurant with tasty food and friendly service for reasonable prices but extremely spicy for the western tongue. The Special Thali is a good choice. Idlis are also fine.

I visited this hotel for breakfast. The food is tasty and authentic. Nice varieties are available. I strongly recommend this hotel for veg lovers.

Good for a quick breakfast. tasty food. Prompt service. Ample portions. Wada is too oily, otherwise its all ok.

Very near to Ammani Amman gopuram. We went twice during our visit. Food is okay. The sauce they served with Gobi fried rice and noodles is bad. Water served has dust particles. Better to order bottled water

Please do not visit this restaurant. It is very close to the temple but the food served here is of very bad quality. I visited this restaurant along with my family after the Dharshan at temple. It was very disgusting to see a housefly in the masala dosa which we ordered. I noticed this housefly after having few bites of dosa already. I immediately asked the owner to check where it came from as I saw it inside the masala of dosa. Cancelled all my other orders and left the place. Attached a picture of dosa with housefly. Please visit a different restaurant if you prefer hygiene.
