Very nice place, not easy to find, but definitely worth the effort. We came tired after a hike to the top of Mt. Arunchala, and got a great meal, fresh and tasty, beautiful drinks and a fantastic service. We were offered an additional local dish to taste, and fruit when we left. Also very reasonable prices.

Extremely rude owner.. and staff. I think the owner has bipolar disorder as others too reported this- one day he's happy and kind and another day he's completely rude, impatient and impolite. I've heard from locals in Tiru they no longer go there because of this rudeness. Please learn about customer service and how to treat people. You are dealing mostly with foreigners so please learn PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't be rude! Please. Otherwise, food is good and atmosphere is good.

Almond flour chocolate cake is the best. Must try ! This place doesn't have a board. Follow the map. The location is correct. It is on the first floor.

A cute western cafe in a simple shack. The food is definitely good and mostly attracts foreign tourists. The almond chocolate cake was actually almond flour cake and tasted like a piece of heaven. The owner of the cafe was such a friendly person. Beware of the portion size before you order, it's king size

Rude and scammy owner. I had breakfast (delicious, I must admit). I paid by UPI (so by phone with QR code). The transaction took a while to go through, so the owner immediately insisted I pay by cash. He was getting aggressive and bullying me. I gave him the cash to defuse the situation. When I checked my phone again, the transaction got through and the money was deducted from my account. I showed him the confirmation. He insisted he didn't receive any money, but refused to check his phone in front of me. I showed him mine, smiling in a polite, firm way. I was very relaxed, I told him not to stress about it, that I would have another tea and give him enough time to check everything, that there was no rush at all. He called me "A bad customer causing troubles" and told me "Don't come again to my cafe!". I had to leave without my money and open a dispute in the payment app. He behaved like a scammy, dishonest, rude, bad person.

Nice ice coffee and great quiet place, very cosy for a rainy afternoon.

I ordered a fruit salad and yogurt and drank the cooled water served at the table and have diarrhea this morning. Let this be a warning to never eat uncooked food or even drink the cooled "filtered" water offered in hippie cafes ...even if everyone else is trusting their hygiene/food handling practices.
