Ahmedia Restaurant Vaniyambadi Since 1975

Stopped at this restaurant while on our way to Chennai. We had so much expectations from the biryani, considering that this place was highly recommended to us. The mutton biryani was very good but the chicken version of it was a bit bland. The malai tikka was delicious. Giving an extra point for their service.

Extremely disappointing experience. The biryani was far from authentic -- it had a strong artificial essence that completely ruined the flavor. It didn't taste fresh at all. To make things worse, the customer service was equally poor -- the staff seemed disinterested and unprofessional. Definitely not worth the hype or the price. Would not recommend.

Visited this restaurant today while we were returning from Yelagiri hills. One of the best biriyani we ever had. Also they maintain a great service, ambience and cleanliness! There is ample parking space as well. If they maintain the same quality, this will surely become a legendary restaurant in near future!

What We Tried: Chicken & Mutton Biryani - 4.2/5 Vaniyambadi special biryani with an aromatic blend of spices and tender, well-cooked meat. Absolutely flavorful! Tandoori Chicken - 4.2/5 Laham Mashwi - 4.4/5 Tender mutton pieces infused with spices, offering an amazing taste. One of my favorites! Mutton Keema with Parotta - 4.4/5 Mutton Paya - 4/5 Golden Fried Prawns - 4.2/5 We make it a point to stop by every time we take a road trip towards this part of Tamil Nadu. Located on NH 48, it offers a decent ambience, ample parking space, and food that is well worth the price in both taste and quantity. A highly recommended spot for food lovers!

The restaurant was excessively crowded, leading to an unacceptable 30-minute wait for seating. Following the starters, we endured another frustrating 20-minute wait for the main course, which was particularly difficult while trying to manage our children. The service remained slow; it took an unreasonable 20 minutes for each of our ordered items (two biryanis and a platter) to be served.The taste was merely okay and certainly didn't justify the hype. Ample car parking was a plus, but the restroom was just satisfactory. The pricing was acceptable.

The biryani here tastes good, but the quantity is quite less for the price. The Chinese food, however, is not worth it in terms of taste or quality. On the positive side, the place is clean and spacious, with a large parking area, which is convenient for customers.

Had chicken pepper soup, egyptian chicken BBQ, mutton chukka, mutton biryani and phirni. The mutton biryani was top notch. The cost of it was 360 a bit high, but it was every bit worth the taste and quantity. There were more than sufficient mutton pieces. The rice was flavorful and rich in masala. This became one of my top spots for basmati biryani with just one time dining here! The other items were good. It was definitely worth the money I would say. All the items except biryani were pretty cheap. For the cost it was definitely worth it!
