Southern Kitchen

We visited Southern Kitchen after trying their thalis through Swiggy. The restaurant is located in a shared building with basement parking. We expected a decent crowd, but surprisingly, the place was empty, with just the two of us dining in. We ordered the thali along with Chicken and Fish curry. However, we noticed that the quantity served for dining was noticeably less than what we received via delivery. The additional curry portions were also very small. A major downside was that we were asked to buy a water bottle worth 60 instead of being provided free drinking water. As per the Telangana government's 2023 mandate under GHMC's jurisdiction, restaurants are supposed to offer purified water at no cost. The furniture felt outdated, and the serving staff seemed more engaged in their gossip, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. On the bright side, the restroom was okay, and they had a non-contact tissue dispenser. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and there's a lot of room for improvement.

Excellent restaurant in Financial District. top quality food they serve. In Lunch Thali is the best option.

Firstly the food is good But the services is the worst I haven't seen any restaurant with rude waiters and staff they even not responding to needs of the customers as me and my friend visited the place and order veg thalli and tomato soup the thali came first and then they given something g called tomato charu which we haven't ordered later we informed the thing to the manger and he said he will replace the item but the thing is it never got replaced and after serving rice and we have started eating thali the thing is not only is the people who visited the place with us on the same day we're also faced the same issue and they even don't care what we are asking so kindly if you are a person who gives importance to the time don't visit the place because they will simple waste your time Thank you

I have visited this restaurant more than four times in the past and have generally had positive experiences with their various food items. However, my most recent visit was truly disappointing. I ordered the thali meals and a lemon soda, and unfortunately, the thali contained a spoiled , sour and smelly egg. Upon informing the staff and the manager about this issue, I was shocked by their lack of concern. They did not offer to replace the thali, nor did they seem to care about the spoiled food. It felt as though the restaurant's policy is that customers must eat whatever is served, regardless of quality. To add to the poor experience, my lemon soda they forgot to serve. Not at all recommend this restaurant.

I like the food not the best but good. The only issue I had is that the restrooms are not good.

Extremely disappointed with the service provided. The lime juice was onion flavoured as the knife was used to cut onion and lemon. Twice they brought the food ordered by someone else to our table. Our order was delayed by over half an hour and those who came after us started getting their order. As I observed , at every table customers were complaining. For sure we would not want to spoil another day of ours. Finally they brought the thali with the cold food side dishes and a cold roti, after a delay of 15 mins again brought the rice and no curry, the rice got cold. I requested sthat the manager come. Two mangers, both not available and kept us waiting as they were upstairs in their room. Finally kept hearing an unempathetic sorry. Terrible and worst restaurant service ever. Not recommended. The review seen on Google is probably by their own staff or people.

We had been here for lunch and the food taste and service was top notch. Don't forget to try their signature dish "Apricot Fushion". Will come back on my next trip to the Financial District in Hyderabad.

Ambiance is good. Service is good. Food taste is good but the quantity is very less compared to its price. We tried Gongura Mamsam. The taste of the gravy is very good but there are only mutton bones and absolutely no flesh around it. That was our experience and you might be a lucky person to have a better meal.
