Golden Dragon

I visited it yesterday to their Sambhar rice as I was told they make it the best. Along with the Sambhar rice I ordered a Chilli Prawns starter, water bottle and a Cassata ice cream. The total bill was 629 rupees inclusive of taxes. It is located next to the Hotel park lane inside a commercial building. The interiors are a bit dark for me but their service is very good. Now coming to their taste firstly about their Chilli prawns; it tasted very average. The prawns are soft but tasted nothing special. Next the Sambhar rice came along with mango pickle and a small bowl of ghee. It tasted super delicious particularly when you pour ghee on top of it. The cassata ice cream tasted yummy

I am sure many of you will agree (maybe not) but i feel 9/10 bars serves delicious food but that is not the ratio with regular restaurants. Yesterday's dinner at Golden Dragon, CTC. During a casual night out, I visited a bar with friends expecting a relaxed time. After ordering drinks and appetizers, we enjoyed the evening, but the mood quickly shifted when it was time to settle the bill. I handed over my card for payment, and to my surprise, it was declined. The bartender made a point of announcing it, causing embarrassment. I checked my account, which had sufficient funds, but the issue persisted. The staff insisted it was a problem on my end and offered no assistance or alternative solutions. As I scrambled to figure out a resolution, a long line began to form behind me, intensifying the pressure. Despite my explanations, the bartender's tone became increasingly impatient. Frustrated, I had to call my bank, only to discover there was an issue with the bar's payment system. Meanwhile, the staff remained indifferent, leaving me feeling humiliated. After what felt like an eternity, I paid through another method, but the experience was ruined. The lack of empathy from the staff, combined with the public embarrassment, made the entire night a disaster, souring what was meant to be an enjoyable outing with friends.

Good bar. Very good service. Food quality ok. Ambiance is typical. Not recommended for ledies though. A little bit costly.

Sambar rice with ghee is superb. Probably the best in hyderabad imo. Drinks and starters are awesome too. 5 stars

Food tastes delicious. Service was swift and humble. Atmosphere is not comfortable for silence lovers as it become noisy as it gets busy.

Over all there was A Good Experience here.

Old memories, mostly good but in retrospect, this place was kind of a starting point for my inevitable downfall. Still, I'm very thankful for this place providing me a refuge of sorts in my moments of deep personal and professional crisis. My go-to beverage was Smirnoff with Sprite, and the food was extremely decent, yet affordable. As I see it, this place hasn't changed much at all. They used to allow indoor smoking back in the day, but now that may be banned. Nevertheless, if I'm in Secunderabad, I plan to return here for old time's sake.
