Customer Reviews & Testimonials
I visited mustard madras twice in a few months. The menu is interesting but I felt like the taste was not consistent. I've tried multiple dishes and most of them taste good. You might find few items a bit spicy but otherwise they are good. The consistency of the taste can be improved.
*Absolutely Appalling Experience - Found PLASTIC in the Biryani!* I visited this restaurant on May 19th at around 10:30 PM, and what happened was not just disappointing, it was dangerously negligent. I ordered a biryani and while eating, I found an entire piece of a plastic packet embedded in the food. Yes, plastic. Not only is that unacceptable in any food establishment, but it poses a serious health hazard -- plastic is toxic, potentially carcinogenic, and has no place in food that's meant to be served to paying customers. What's even more infuriating is how the staff responded: The first waiter tried to quietly cover it up by saying, "I'll get another one made," as if replacing it would erase the fact that they had just served contaminated food. When I escalated the issue, the so-called manager had the audacity to say, "Galti toh har insaan se hoti hai" essentially brushing off the incident like it was a minor mistake. This was not a fly in the soup, this was plastic in an entire dish that had likely been served to multiple customers that night. This kind of reckless disregard for food safety and customer health is not just disappointing, it's downright dangerous. Let me be very clear: If I found plastic in my food, it is very likely that others who ordered biryani that night were served the same hazardous meal. There was zero accountability, no apology, and clearly no training or awareness among the staff about how severe and unacceptable this is. I have photos and videos to prove this incident, and I will be reporting it to the relevant food safety authorities. Bottom line: DO NOT visit this restaurant. They do not care about your health, they do not follow basic hygiene protocols, and worst of all, they think serving plastic in food is a mistake that should simply be excused. Stay safe. Eat elsewhere.
Very interesting name... mustard madras. We located this restaurant in Google and thought we should give it a try. Went here for lunch with my family. Beautiful restaurant, the ambience is so nice & relaxing. The server was nice and helpful. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the perfect quantity .
The variety of south indian food is too much and each variety is worth to taste, whether its veg or non veg it was really great taste. The ambience was very nice fine dinning yet having traditional touch !
Cozy place that serves some good South Indian delicacies. I loved the paper ghee dosa which was wonderfully crispy and tasted amazing. Of special mention is the tandoori idli as well that was something new and was truly loved and adored by me and everyone who was with me. A little feedback I have is the choice of music (English playlist) , which I felt does not go with the overall theme of the place. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience.
I went to this place to celebrate my mother's birthday. Its a beautiful place with a nice ambience. The food quality was amazing and the service was fast. The staff was courteous and prompt in their service. The menu is well spread for both veg and non vegetarian. Must visit place if you want to have authentic south India food. Would recommend getting prior reservation before going to this place. Will surely be visiting again .
Heard a lot about the restaurant and decided to visit it for lunch. The overall experience was mixed. So the food was actually pretty good! Tasty and whwn they got it right on service was piping hot, which is always a plus. But coming to the service, it was rough. We waited forever for someone to even take our order. And then it took forever for the food to come to our table. And you could tell the staff was pretty new - a little flustered and unsure of themselves. They were confused about the menu and the items. Hopefully, they'll get it together with a little more experience, because the food really was delicious. Hopefully will wait for a couple of months, give them time settle down before I try it again.
Must-not-have madras, should be the name of the restaurant. It is just a fancily done up restaurant. The food is extremely mediocre. We had ordered South Indian food. All of it had very high salt. Also, the service was very slow, and most of the staff was very confused. I think people come here just because lot of influencers have made reels about this place. Nothing amazing about it. You can easily skip it. Save your money have food in a better place.
