The Kasar Kitchen

The food at Kasar Kitchen was below average. The views, however, were stunning, and the owner was humble and welcoming. There were also a couple of friendly dogs around. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the food--it just didn't meet our expectations. We had heard a lot of hype about the food, but it felt a bit overrated. That said, if you're more interested in the views and don't mind taking a chance with the food, you can give it a try. I'm giving this restaurant 3 stars because, while the views were great, the primary purpose of a restaurant is the food, and the food was average at best.

One of the best places for sunset in Kesar Devi. Delicious kumaon thali made of organic products (except of potato). Hemp chutney stole my heart. Nice masala chai. Four naughty dogs living there. Stuff is also very friendly and caring. Highly recommend to visit

The food was good. The view was nice. But, beware they charge for water as well. They don't have free water as they will force you to buy a water bottle.

Kasar Kitchen truly feels like the heart of Kasar Devi. The cafe is a cozy haven where you can easily enjoy authentic Kumaoni food alongside other delights. We started with mutton momos and paneer momos, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. However, for dinner, we tried the pink sauce pasta, which didn't quite meet expectations. The next day, we opted for chicken curry. While it was decent, it wasn't particularly memorable. What truly sets Kasar Kitchen apart is its vibe. The ambiance is serene, warm, and inviting, perfectly complementing the beauty of the surroundings. The owner and staff deserve a special mention for their hospitality--they made the experience so much better with their friendliness and attentiveness. If you're in Kasar Devi, this cafe is worth a visit for its charm, welcoming staff, and the chance to enjoy Kumaoni cuisine amidst a great vibe.

I've been coming to kasar kitchen since many years now. The food is tasty, service is good and the prices are also reasonable. The atmosphere is also nice and you can see the snow clad mountains while dining in.

Probably the best cafe in Binsar with stunning views of Panchachuli from their top.They have super tasty local kumaoni thali and offers good coffee.

Beautiful place to drop by with a fantastic view of the Kailash Parvat. Chai is just awesome with amazing food to enjoy eat. Don't forget to drop u if travelling this side! Akanksha

I was always in search of Authentic Kumon thali, and I was in Binsar, nothing greater then being in Almora. And i found this small restaurant, beautiful (not so hi-fi though). It may not look that great from outside, but it has a beautiful view of the mountains. They have this thali system for lunch, one can taste the authentic food.
