Food is delicious and had a very good time. Service is excellent and staff is very friendly. Must try when visiting the area. Non veg platter is an excellent choice a d veg noodles has lovely quality of vegetables

I can never forget the taste I have from this restaurant. The FOOD was mouth-watering . You will feel you are in heaven. We ordered - butter chicken, their special dal makhani, boiled rice, pudina parantha, and one paneer sabji. And you will not feel heavy after having a meal over here. Thank you so much for serving us such a heavenly meal. Now this restaurant is my permanent thing whenever I will be there in Dehradun. TBH, while writing this review I am craving for that food.

I had seen many good reviews for this place so decided to visit for lunch with my family, the day after Holi. Unfortunately, the experience didn't turn out to be the best. The food served was average in taste and the service was slow and lackadaisical. I had ordered boneless butter chicken which appeared hurriedly prepared. The gravy was too thick and appeared to have too much cream and atta. My family had gastric problems as a result of eating it. I had also ordered fried rice which was very average and lacking in taste and ingredients. There wasn't much of an ambience to talk about either as the place was quite empty with very few tables occupied. The service was so slow that at times we were just left sitting and staring at empty plates waiting for the next order to arrive. Also, beware that they will add service charges to the bill. I noticed this and asked for its removal which was done promptly. However, if I hadn't noticed this, I would have ended up paying more money for no reason (I paid a smaller tip separately). If you're looking for a premium experience, better visit some other restaurants like Kalsang Restaurant, Raasta Cafe, etc. Or perhaps my bad experience can be attributed to the fact that it was just a day after Holi and they might have been understaffed or simply not in the mood to provide better service. Still, in that case they could have offered a discount or some special 'Holi' offer to make up for their poor service.

It was almost a surreal experience. The ambience, the seating, the food, the service, all were excellent. Even though it took time, the food was excellent. Not recommended for family lunches as the service time is a little on the longer side, bur it's a perfect place for business meetings and get-togethers with it's professional and elegant atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for someone who prefers quality of food over fast service.

Rara Chicken was good. Special Dal Makhni was not good at all. It was tangy. Staff and service was good.

"Simply Wow Experience" Amazing food we had! Stopped over on our way to Delhi. It was highly recommended by whoever we asked about good North Indian food in Dehradun! Damn, it was worth it! Hospitality was top notch, they don't shy away if you request them for discounts or a complimentary kulfi! Bit old school! But that's how we roll.. Thank you team Black Pepper!

Excellent place to spend the evening. Good place for date night. Excellent food. Interiors of restaurant is like cave.

I just visited black papper. It's one of the most prominent restaurant in Dehradun. I have gone here so many times, the food quality and the hospitality is always the same. Mr. Rajendra Rawat ji, the manager is a very lovely person. His hospitality is so good and is very soft spoken. It's a perfect restaurant for family. And a good place for little booze with your lunch or dinner. I will certainly recommend it.
