Best authentic south indian food fresh idly sambhar served reasonable price.

This is a clean restaurant that serves delicious South Indian food. The items are made fresh while one waits and served hot. The items are budget friendly. The restaurant even caters to items that are not in the menu i.e. they will make it for you if given some time. For authentic filter coffee, it is the best place where you can taste the actual coffee unlike the milky coffee served in other North Indian restaurants. The owner has a warm smile throughout service. He helps visitors with suggestions on places to visit and the best way to get there. Overall experience was very good.

We stayed at Nawal Kishore Ashram during August 2024 for 3-4 days. We had breakfast and dinner almost every day in South Indian Uphar. Excellent, tasty, and hot hot food was served all the time. Sri. Pavan and the team looked after us like their personal guests! Would be pleased to visit again soon!

It's a small place, run by just 3-4 people, and it's often full, which speaks for itself. Since it's entirely self-service, I'd just request that anyone visiting follows the etiquette--please clear your plates and place them in the bin after eating. No, it may not be the best South Indian food you've ever had in your life--but considering where you are and what other food options are like in the area, this place is absolutely worth checking out.
