Driver Jeevan Ji reached us at Pithoragarh jeep stand at half past seven in the evening. After leaving my mother with her luggage in a shop on the roadside, I saw two or three hotels on the road and chose the Empress, Hotel Samrat and checked in. We found this room good enough for the rent of 800 taka. The room and bathroom are all big. Service is also good. From the front of the hotel, the share bolero leaves from the back room to Dharchula in the morning. Driver Jeevanji informed a driver for us. The driver Shanuda came and met us while we were having tea in the hotel room. I never dreamed that the food of Pithoragarh would be so good. Since planning this tour, I am thinking that I will have to eat the bad food of Uttarakhand again for some time. But after eating the food of Pithoragarh, I see enough to test the full food here. The owner of our Samrat Hotel was happy to hear that we were from West Bengal and referred us to his friend's restaurant Hotel Comfort Hill. On reaching there, I saw that almost the entire Pithoragarh had reached there to eat. I took the blender with me for my mother, talked to the hotel staff and ordered Kashmiri polao, blended the polao and meat without gravy in that blender. I had Mishi Ruti, Paneer Kulcha and Chicken Tikka Batter Masala, which was plenty in quantity. A plate of chicken tikka butter masala in Kolkata gives double what it does here. After the meal, the cashier of the restaurant also gave a ten percent discount in reference to our hotel owner. Total bill is 510 taka.

Staff Is Not Good At Their Job. One of Them Is Soo Rude And Arrogant. Never Gonna Visit Again.

Food is worst and the man who sat on the restaurant reception is very aggressive if u complain any about your ordered food , he openly says if u don't like our food so why you did u come here.I think this behaviour shows the disrespect of guests.

Ordered chicken biryani and the taste was very bad . Full waste of money . Will never order biryani from here The taste of biryani was like fried rice ordered from a local stall
