The ambience is very pretty. Seating is comfortable. Four cheese pizza( no cheese pull, hard base) the salad( no crunch in the lettuce) and lasagna ( a disappointment) Food was mediocre at best. Americano lacked a punch. Service was polite .

Tamtara Cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and both options are equally charming. There's plenty of parking space, so you won't have to worry about finding a spot. The service is top-notch - the staff is attentive and always available when you need them. The food quality is good, though there's room for improvement to make it even better. The shakes, particularly the frappe, were a highlight of the meal - absolutely delicious! The Veg Hakka noodles were simple but surprisingly tasty. We visited on Valentine's Day, and the cafe had gone all out with heart-shaped decorations, adding a festive and romantic touch to the atmosphere. To top it off, we were gifted a rose, which was a thoughtful gesture that made the experience even more special.

I recently visited this place with a colleague after hearing a lot about it, and it truly feels like a vibrant party hub. The ambience is stunning from the moment you step inside, with the decor perfectly matching the lively vibe. They have plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors, and I particularly enjoyed the open terrace seating. As for the food, while there's room for improvement in a few dishes, I tried the soup, white sauce pasta, pizza, mojito, and crispy mushrooms. I appreciated the generous portions and overall taste, though I think the pizza could use some refinement. The crispy mushrooms were excellent, while the pasta was just average. They also offer live music, which adds to the atmosphere. The staff was polite and attentive, with Lucky, who served us, being especially great and enhancing the overall experience. I'd definitely love to visit again.

An evening well spent. Lovely food ,live music , beautiful ambience. Very humble staff. Good service. Location is easy to reach. Parking space is a bit concerning issue, but is still manageable. Food quality and quantity was very good. Have Liquor facility, open area , closed sitting as well as roof top . Well managed area. Must Recommend for all to visit atleast once. A big 5 from my end.

Our long-awaited visit to Tamtara finally happened yesterday night. Given our frequent explorations of cafes, restaurants, and hotels in and around Dehradun--and knowing Tamtara's reputation as a celebrity hotspot and a preferred venue for ad and movie shoots--we had assumed it would be exorbitantly priced. To our pleasant surprise, that wasn't the case. A cutting chai costs just 90, and most items on the menu are reasonably priced unless you're opting for something exotic like fish or certain non-vegetarian dishes. The overall experience was a mix of delightful and slightly disappointing moments. The decor is absolutely stunning--on par with the finest European restaurants. The textures, lighting, and aesthetic reminded me of a beautiful place we once visited in Istanbul a decade ago. The Minestrone Soup was excellent; The Spinach & Cottage Cheese Ravioli was another standout, subtle, rich, and perfectly cooked; We ordered the Pesto Veg Bagel, which unfortunately arrived drenched in mayonnaise sauce with only a hint of pesto. Upon request, though, the staff was kind enough to serve additional pesto on the side. The major disappointment was the Jamaican Jerk Chicken. The chicken was tough, chewy, and rubbery or possibly not fresh. Despite requesting a fix, the kitchen was only willing to reheat it, which wasn't the issue. At nearly 450, we expected better service and flexibility in this particular case. The menu itself is creative and wide-ranging--items like the waffle sandwich caught our eye as something quite unique. We initially chose to sit on the terrace to enjoy Dehradun's beautiful weather and breezy evening, but the mosquitoes quickly cut our experience short, even with mosquito coils in place. Overall, despite a few letdowns, Tamtara is a must-visit. The ambience alone is worth experiencing, and most of the food lives up to the setting.

This restaurant, which also has a bar, is typically packed on weekends. They have plenty of sitting rooms both upstairs and downstairs, but it is a first-come, first-served seating mentality. The ambiance and vibe are pleasant, and it is a great spot to visit with friends or a partner, but it is not a family-friendly Place. We had a bad dining experience as their pasta was bland and not recommended, their dry veg Manchurian contained a stone, and when they sent us a fresh batch, it was almost burned at the bottom. Their veg Kothey was the only good food item, and their spring rolls were average. If you're searching for delicious meal options, I wouldn't recommend this place. However, for beverages and snacks, it's worth checking out.
