Cafe Barrackpore

This is one of the biggest cafes in the area of Barrackpore situated near the wireless gate, Kalyani expressway, which serves a good range of snacks and beverages at affordable prices. The first point that catches one's attention is the marvelous piece of artworks which covers the walls of the cafe . One can see the evolution of Kolkata by the time from this art works which are beautifully crafted. We ordered cold coffee, roasted fish and mixed hakka noodles among which the noodles and coffee were great. The fish was extremely saucy but was fresh. The lead time of serving was a little high though. The last owner of the cafe was very well behaved and warm towards the guests. The little kid of the owner was such a jovial guy we have met at this cafe, he was always very curious to interact with us and give his suggestions about the food items and wanted us to play with him. It was such a nice evening for us! The capacity of this cafe is quite high and the seats are also comfortable. There is a private cafe area to celebrate the birthday or anniversary as well. The variety of food items is little less which can be improved. However, this is undoubtedly one of the most Instagrammable cafes in the locality.

Day by day the quality of food is decreasing. When i first came to this cafe i felt this is the best cafe in barrackpore and the food quality was too delicious but now i feel that the taste of food has become worst. Me and my would be wife was very disappointed But the atmosphere of this cafe is very wonderful Staff behaviour is also good. And very pocket friendly But the food quality is consistently decreasing

This place is one of my favourites. I often go there for my most favourite drink - cold coffee. I love this. And I also went there with my family several times. The behaviour of the staff is very good. And the atmosphere is in a word - awesome, very quiet. You can also avail the facility of reading books.. love this place

I have been here numerous times and also order takeaway often. They also provide delivery and is legit one of my favourite places to eat at in Barrackpore. Although the menu mostly consists of common Chinese and Bengali and Indian dishes, most of the items that I've ordered are prepared well and taste amazing. The complaints I have regarding their food are very minor. For instance, I wish they'd serve some other dips with their starters other than ketchup and kasundi. Also, include some more kinds of coffees and beverages in their menu. Other than that, the food is very affordable and the only item that I think is a little bit on the pricier side considering the quality and the portion size is the sizzling brownie. Coming to the ambience, the cafe is very spacious and well decorated. However, it is not air conditioned, which I believe is a conscious decision taken by the owners to keep the food prices affordable. This sometimes lead to a stuffy environment, especially in hot and humid weathers. I definitely recommend going during cooler months. They also have live music here sometimes. The staff is courteous and polite, but the service can be a bit slow at times if the cafe is busy. Earlier, there was a young lady server who was very attentive and prompt. Ever since she has left, I feel the service has gone down a little. Recently, I visted the cafe for dinner and the service was even slower than usual despite it being relatively empty. I believe these are all things that can be taken care of and the cafe has the potential to achieve even more in the coming days.

Liked the place overall, the cafe has a different vibe and it's not too big but has decent space and sitting arrangement can be done better. The place is well lit and clean enough to give you mental peace in this era of pandemic. The menu list is small but has good options to try out. The coffee is actually preety good here and the snacks we tried are above average in taste. Quantity can be little better but the quality was great and not compromised. Overall i would rate 4.5 out of 5 and would like to visit once a while with friends or family.

Barrackpore cafe comes with a cozy ambience. The indoor decor is apt for photographs. Outside the cafe, the 'I love Barrackpore' is an added attraction. However, the cafe is not air conditioned. Coming to the food, it is good but doesn't offer a lot of variety. At times, in the evening, you get hear live music and that is enough to lift your mood. Good place to visit with friends.

1.Excellent staff behaviour and ambience (they gave an ice cream as a complimentary for serving a little bit late...it was never expected) 2.The quality and quantity of food are too high for this price. Tastes awesome and you can easily share every item. 3. Family and couple friendly, must try out once. Special note about ambience - every picture/graffiti is about the history of Barrackpore.

Very nice environment to hang out people you love. Price range is cheaper than any other cafe around. The concept of the wall art is just amazing. The history of Barrackpore will be in front of you as soon as you step in the cafe. The cafe manager Mr. Mainak Roy is just an awesome person. Whenever you visit, never miss to meet this person. Will love to visit again soon.
