Had a great lunch here with typical Bengali thali. Service was fast. Food was good. We took Prawn Malaikari, Katla Curry and Mutton Curry, along with the usual Veg thali. They provide a 500 ml mineral water and ice cream with this.

The best restaurant near the 'Sonajhurir Haat'. Located at the heart of the place, and available 365 days of the year. There is not a single doubt on the taste of the dishes that this restaurant serves. However, the prices are on the higher side. Go for the 'thalis' to save some budget. Standalone dishes are going to cost a lot. The service is quite fast even though the place gets extremely crowded at weekends.

I recently visited Ram Shyam Restaurant to try their Bengali cuisine, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. I ordered the veg thali along with kochi pathar jhol , and both dishes exceeded my expectations. The flavors were rich and authentic, especially the mutton, which was perfectly cooked and full of traditional Bengali spices. The veg thali offered a great variety, with every item tasting fresh and well-prepared. The service was prompt and courteous, adding to the overall positive vibe of the place. As for the pricing, it was absolutely reasonable for the quality and portion size offered. If you're looking to enjoy authentic Bengali food in a comfortable setting, I'd definitely recommend giving Ram Shyam Restaurant a try.

Dishes are awesome and tasty. Had taken veg thali in lunch with Mutton kosha. The orientation of thali was too good. You can take unlimited rice and side items (which is available in veg thali) without any extra cost. The gesture and manner of service boyes are too good. Last but not the least they've not charged any extra cost for my kid who is below 5yrs and offered meal. 100% recommendation from my side. I'd suggest everyone must have food at this restaurant while visiting Sonajhurir Hut. Most important, the location of this restaurant is also very good. Middle of Sonajhurir Hut.

* First visit to Ram Shyam and had a very good experience. * Food was delicious - fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. * Portion size was good - felt satisfying and value for money. * Had to wait in line, but they had a proper waiting area with chairs, fan, water, and hand wash station. * Clean and well-managed space - especially impressive after visiting Shakuntala, which was just the opposite. * The difference in hygiene and service between two side-by-side restaurants was huge. * Staff were polite and the service was smooth. * Even though the pricing is slightly on the higher side, it's totally justified for the quality. Highly recommend Ram Shyam if you're in Shantiniketan. A proper example of how hospitality and hygiene can be done right.

Ram Shyam, situated inside Sonajhuri forest and Haat is a Bengali Restaurant serving Bengali cuisines. Here the food is dished out in thali system. Special preparations are done in plate system. Rice and vegetable curries can be taken extra without any extra cost. The food is very tasty. The pricing is on the higher side. The ambience of the place is on another level. It's crowded specially during the holiday and festival seasons.

During my recent visit to Bolpur, Shantiniketan, I had lunch at Ram Shyam restaurant with my family and loved the food. The taste, quality, quantity of food (they offer unlimited veg thalli), and behavior of the staff, were very satisfactory. We ordered a veg thalli (unlimited thalli) and took chicken curry as a side dish. Special mention- I loved the taste of the fulkopi tarkari, and chatni they served. Even the chicken curry was good. Good hygiene standards are maintained in the restaurant. So, if you want to eat home style, delicious meal, do give Ram Shyam's traditional Bengali thalli a try.
