Walking distance 8-10 mnts from Bandel Church. This name inspired from The Character of Magician named Barfi from Bhuter Raja Dilo Bor. Ambience is best, asthetic too. It has two floors. Both Bengali and Chinese cuisine I tasted from there and both tasted very good, quantity too. More recommendations for Chinese . We tried Fish finger, Mutton Kosha, Basanti Polau ,Doi Katla, Mixed noodles, Chiken Manchurian and chiken lolipop. Polauo was too much messed with ghee and Doi katla gravy was very plain and wattery. Food served hot. Fish finger was showstopper but Specially for Fish items, the quality of fish depends according to the occasion and availablity.
We went for a lunch there and very disappointed with the quality of food. First of all the service is very slow. We have ordered Thali and the quantity and quality of the thali is very bad. The quantity of the rice, chicken and papda fish is very small. They provide small fish and limited amount of rice. Other veg items are also not repeated. The chicken, papda fish and other veg items is full of masala and less of chicken and papda. We have ordered Chital mach er muitha and it was like rubber. very bad experience. Even the ghee they provide with rice is very cheap quality. I would never visit again and would suggest others to visit other nearby restaurants, as Barfi's food is very bad and waste of money.
The ambience is very nice..it is decorated as per Satyajit Ray's film characters..Barfi, the magician from Hirak Rajar Deshe movie is the main theme....one point I must mention that the light arrangements should be much brighter..eating food with dim lights is very difficult specially when you are having fish..the food is good..the rice portion in thali is not adequate..food is tasty..pabda with dhonepata and kachalanka is superb..

Quality of food is very good. So as the atmosphere & behaviour of the staffs. However, the food is very overpriced.
Decent place for wedding rituals like iburovat. Good food, huge food options, great service. They do decorations on demand too like ours . Although love the place and recommend.
Highly recommend. Nice food with fabulous ambience in a pocket friendly budget. A beautifully themed Resturant.
