AB's-Absolute Barbecues

I recently visited Absolute Barbecues (AB's) Madhyamgram, and here's my detailed review based on my experience: 1. Ambience & Service (4/5) The ambience was decent, with a lively and spacious setup. The service was friendly and prompt, though at times the staff seemed a bit rushed, possibly due to the crowd. The live counters were a highlight, adding an interactive element to the experience. 2. Food Quality & Taste (3/5) Starters (Average - 3/5) The variety of starters was decent but not extraordinary. Compared to Barbeque Nation , the portion sizes were smaller, which was a bit disappointing. The flavors were okay, but nothing standout. Live Counter & Biryani (Good - 4/5) The live counter was one of the best parts, offering fresh and customizable options. The biryani was flavorful, unlike the main course, which lacked impact. Main Course (Below Average - 1.5/5) The main course was quite bland, lacking the richness and taste expected in such buffets. Compared to BBQ Nation, the gravies and curries felt uninspiring and less flavorful. Mocktails & Drinks (Very Good - 4.5/5) Mocktails were refreshing and well-prepared, adding a nice touch to the meal. Desserts (Few but Tasty - 3.5/5) The dessert section had fewer options but what was available tasted good. However, considering the price, a wider selection would have been appreciated. 3. Portion Size & Value for Money (3/5) The portion sizes were noticeably smaller than BBQ Nation, making the experience feel a bit less satisfying. Given the price, the overall value for money was just average. Final Verdict: An Average Experience (3/5) Pros: Good ambiance & service Live counter and biryani were impressive Mocktails were well-prepared Desserts, though limited, were tasty Cons: Starters were just okay, not extraordinary Main course was bland and lacked richness Smaller portion sizes compared to BBQ Nation Fewer dessert options Overall: A decent place to try once, but BBQ Nation offers a better experience in terms of taste, variety, and portion sizes.

We pre-booked our table in Absolute Barbecue Apps from google play store and we got a discount of Rs 150 on the full bill. Our scheduled time was 12 pm. We reached there around 12:15pm and we got our seats immediately. The seating arrangements were very comfortable. I went there for the first time. The meal started with a tiny aloo tikki with white sauce, it was average in taste. Then came the different types of chicken tandoors, peri peri chicken wings and fish tandoor, the portion size was too good.Every item was wonderful in taste and the chicken was very tender to eat. But what I liked the most among the tandoors was the Fish grill.They also served paneer tandoor, it was good in taste. Then they served Crispy Fried Prawns, which was the best item of the whole meal, although sometimes it took about 3-4 minutes to be served at the table after ordering, I think it's better to wait a bit to eat the prawns. Because the prawns were so delicious, if you don't have any allergies then it's not to miss the prawns. In the main course, vegetarian included their Steamed Rice, Aloo Dum, Kadai Paneer, Basanti Polao, Chilli Gallic Noodles, Veg Manchurian, Dal Tarka, Sweet Corn Veg Soup, Tandoori Bread. And Non-Veg included Egg Fried Rice, Rui Fish Curry, Chilli Chicken, Butter chicken, Chicken kimma soup, Garlic naan. Also the live counter of main course had Handi Chicken Biryani, Handi Mutton, Chilli Octopus Fry, Fuchka, Pasta, Yoghurt Puri, Papri Chaat, many more dishes, every item was delicious. This is my first time eating octopus , but I really liked it. For dessert there were Moong Dal Halwa, Grape Gulab Jamun, Litchi Pastry, Absolut Barbeque Special Celebration Pastry, Mixed Fruit Jellies, Brownies with assorted pastries. The live counter had these three ice creams in unlimited chocolate, strawberry and vanilla flavors, which were being customized into betel leaves flavor and chili flavor from the live counter and many more items. Overall, it was a great experience for me. If you are a food lover then I would definitely recommend this place

Food is quite good. Everything is balanced in preparing the food. The mutton has no complaints! The service could have been better with refilling the water bottles and serving ice cream with a bowl and spoon. Overall it is 4/5!

Good experience, grilled items like fish , chicken piece's are too small.birthday celebration song tune may be controlled as other customer may disturbed. Staffs get up may more attractive. Overall enjoyed.

I've tried their pujo special menu yesterday on Saptami but I can tell the main course was too bad in terms of taste. However starters were good & desserts were also somehow good. But the mutton was not properly cooked and prawn was also tasteless. The main course disappointed me too much as I've had better experience in past with this branch. But last night's experience was a complete disaster. I will not comeback to this restaurant in near future. No matter how much they cover up their faults with good behaviour.

Very average food quality . Starters are nice . The main course is very bland . All gravy's tastes almost the same. The desserts are okayish . The staff behavior is very good. Good for a one time buffet experience , but not worth the penny it charges.

I recently enjoyed a memorable dinner with family at Absolutely Barbeque in the Madhyamgram outlet . The unlimited buffet exceeded expectations, featuring unlimited barbeque starters. Upon request, the staff kindly provided mushrooms, which weren't initially included. The exceptional service, courtesy of the polite and friendly staff, left a lasting impression. I highly recommend this establishment and look forward to revisiting.

Best for lunch buffet.budget friendly and best starters and handi mutton with basanti polao.
