Apur Sangshar

Today I ordered Basanti pulao, kadhai panner & chicken kasha... And it's a horrible experience... I have attached photos... Are you call this rice as pulao?? Is this the colour of pulao??? And I ordered kadhai panner not chilli paneer... Who gave onion and capsicum of this size to kadhai panner??? And who uses fresh cream in a normal chicken kasha??? And taste..... I've nothing to say........ Totally waste of money...

Price of some items is high but a good atmosphere and service. Just beside of Madhyamgram railway station.

It's a theme restaurant inspired by the famous Satyajit Ray's movie "apur sNsaar (Apur Sangshar)". A little distance from Madhyamgram railway station is this restaurant with around 30 seats. Their main attraction is the special thalis which include Apur thali (veg), Apur thali (non-veg), Apur special thali (non-veg), Aparnar thali & Satyajit Ray special thali ranging from 499-1200/-. Apart from these they also serve a wide variety of cuisines and mocktails. Have a mini-bar within the restaurant. Staff behavior is warm & welcoming. It also has a restroom (common). The thalis are not early prepared, they start preparing fresh once you place an order which may take 40-60mins depending upon the quantity. Altogether had a gala time over there.

Very less dishes available based on menu that's really frustrating like whatever you want to order is not available, atmosphere during normal day is not that good, food really taste better loved it but I ordered veg fried rice and got non veg fried rice worst experience as I am not pure non veg lover I had to eat that whole bowl of rice as I hate wasting food, and lastly service is worst the boy waiter who took our order doesn't know how to talk to a customer and others were not trained to how to serve food, they were spilling the dishes here and there while serving. This is a true review and i had high expectations with this restaurant depending on the reviews on google but definitely got disappointed. Only one thing I liked is the food and it's incredibly taste good but according to quantity it's little over priced.

Don't go there if you want Healthy food. Highly not recommend. Today we bought Chicken manchurian from them and they just provide 6pc cornflower ball with lots of food color gravy. Which taste like viniger water.. If they have food shortage they should ask.. Definitely we chose another dish but never expected this.

I just given 1 star. It was Astami night(22/10/2023) Very crowded around. After entering the line outside the restaurant, after an hour I got the food but I did not get what I ordered. very disappointed. by the way all the best for their future. Maybe in the future I can change my review and give 5 stars
