Customer Reviews & Testimonials
4/5 Stars! "The Black Brick Cafe is a hidden gem! The cozy atmosphere and rustic decor make it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. The food and drinks are delicious, with a variety of options to suit different tastes. The service is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The only reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars is that the menu could use a bit more diversity. Overall, it's a great place to grab a bite or meet with friends. Highly recommended!" *Rating Breakdown:* - Ambiance: 5/5 - Food/Drinks: 4/5 - Service: 5/5 - Overall Experience: 4.5/5 *Will I return?* Definitely!
Best hookah at 700 inr. So flavourful. Even staff behaviour and food both are good. Visited 2 days in a week. Both days were good. Just 10 mins walking distance from Rabindra Sadan Metro station. Must try : Cold Coffee, Gondhoraj Fish Fingers, Jalepano Cheese poppers, Crispy cheese spinach wontons, Chicken steam momos and crispy chilly potato.
Overall the experience was really nice, but I hope they could consider having desserts which can cater to diabetic people as well. As for my order: 1) Chocolate Nutella Cake: 221 2) Vanilla Ice Cream: On the House. What is good about this cake is that you can taste the Nutella in it, and it also has a good chocolate taste. However, it is hard and brittle. I wish it were softer, like a sponge cake but with the texture of a mousse; that would make it much better. Also, I would appreciate it if they offered desserts for diabetic people, using stevia or monk fruit. That would be very nice. As for the ice cream, I didn't ask for it, but the waiter gave it to me for free--I don't know why. It was simple vanilla ice cream. I felt bad for accepting it. I hope this review helps him and the restaurant.
One of the finest cafes of Kolkata! This is located at Suburban Hospital Road, just a few metres from the Rabindra Sadan metro station (exit from Elgin Road side). The location is very convenient. The ambience here is really good, along with their tasty foods. We ordered Grilled Murg Makhan Wala Sizzler and a Blueberry Cheesecake. The sizzler was top notch, a perfect blend of boiled veggies with soft chicken, served with a sufficient amount of rice. The portion of the sizzler was good enough for two people. Cheesecake was so-so for me!
If you're looking for a cozy spot with a great ambiance, this cafe is the perfect choice. It offers an inviting atmosphere, ideal for a relaxed couple's date. The food menu is also delightful, providing range of delicious options to satisfy your cravings. Also, one of the standout features is the variety of hookah flavors available, making it a great spot for hookah enthusiasts.
Coffee is good, you can ask there to divide a coffee in two. Tiramisu is quite good. Chicken crispy as well. Loved the ambience.
It is a very good cafe right next to rabindra sadan station. The behaviour of the staff was very good. However the food was very average.I would recommend trying the molten mud pie only because it was soo yummy.Coming to prices everything except the drinks price was justified. The drinks were a little pricey.
Location: Corner of the road next to Rabindra Sadan metro station(the gate near Elgin Road). Ambience: Low lighting, staff running around. Looks a bit chaotic. Not a romantic place. Filtered drinking water available. Clean toilet. Service: Very average, not very attentive. Nobody is around your table, you have to shout and call somebody for any service. Ordered: * Daab Mojito * Makhanwala Chicken Sizzler * Oreo Shake * Molten Mud Pie Overall, average food but very high priced. Service not very good. Ambience was chaotic. Not worth a second visit. Not recommended. The ambience of the place is a bit dark themed which adds to its unique charm. It also distinguishes the cafe and makes it stand out from the rest of the cafes in Kolkata, in terms of their bright and vibrant interiors. Coming to the food. All three of the items that we ordered had pretty good taste. The chef's special sesame chilli chicken had a generous amount of veggies, perfectly sauteed in the gravy. And the chicken was boneless and was also very fresh. The gandho raj fish fingers were good, with enough fillings of fish in it. Though they did not use pure bhetki fish, the taste was fairly good. Although the tartar sauce was said to have kasundi mixed in it, we couldn't taste the flavour of any kasundi as such. I believe the fish fingers would have tasted much better with plain kasundi. Finally the steamed momos were pretty decent in taste as well as in fillings. The chutney served with it was highly disappointing as it had no flavour as such. However, the tabasco sauce already provided on the table, was a game changer, as it added that much needed spicy flavour to the piping hot momos!
