Customer Reviews & Testimonials
I visited Bombay Shiv Sagar hoping for a pleasant dining experience, but I was left rather disappointed. The prices are quite high for what they offer, which makes the overall experience feel like poor value for money. While the food wasn't terrible, it was good. The taste and flavours were really good but the steep rates. One major concern was the use of artificial coloring in the Gobi Manchurian. The vibrant color was a clear indication of synthetic additives, which can have adverse health effects. It's disappointing to see such practices in a restaurant that charges premium prices. There was a wedding anniversary party that was happening to thesmall hall near to the restaurant and loud music and noise ruined the whole ambience. The service was average, with the staff appearing somewhat disorganized. Additionally, the ambiance was quite lackluster and didn't contribute to a memorable dining experience. In conclusion, if you're willing to spend a bit more, you might want to look for a restaurant that offers a good dining experience without compromising on food safety. Bombay Shiv Sagar unfortunately did not meet my expectations. The restaurant is on the first floor of a building and a litlle difficult to notice from the main road. However, there is ample parking space available.
Food was okay. Will try different dishes next time. Dosa was too good. The batter flavour was also very good.
Located behind Pantaloons and on first floor. Car parking available outside complex. Coming on to food we ordered Chinese items like Soup, Mixed Veg fried noodles and both them were below average. Tried Butter idli and had the same experience compared to the price. Order chole bhature and this didn't disappoint us and good in taste. Had special veg grilled sandwich and it taste satisfactory. In the end had masala tea and orange juice and it was good. Overall the food experience was ok ok type and not something great as per the reviews earlier mentioned. YES is good restaurant only for North Indian cuisines but clearly AVOID chinese and South Indian cuisines.
"Good food, good mood." Today I ate Veg Cheese Grilled Sandwich. It was a nourishing, tasteful and appealing Sandwich. The filter coffee was also attractive. The character and atmosphere of the restaurant is good. The service was efficient. Comparing other restaurants they are changing at a low price.
One of the best vegetarian restaurant for the ambience and quality. Jain food is also available. From Chinese to South Indian all type of cuisine is available Dhosa and Spicy Garlic bread, Pizza cheese is awesome... overall food and atmosphere is best. Staff: Ample number of staff to assist. Sitting arrangement: Tables were clean but a bit congested out there. Game: There were two games for the kids to enjoy near the entrance gate.
Though the place was a bit crowded & had to wait 30 mins, it was worth it. Dal Makhani had a unique consistency, Paneer tikka was soft. The highlight was mango cream.
I recently visited **Bombay Shiv Sagar** on the first floor of **Pantaloons, Camac Street**, and ordered **Pav Bhaji** and **Chole Bhature**. While the presentation looked appealing, the taste didn't live up to expectations, especially considering the price. - **Chole Bhature (300 per plate):** The bhature were crisp and puffed but lacked the **paneer stuffing** that is usually found in authentic versions. The chole were just okay and didn't have the depth of flavor one expects from a well-prepared dish. - **Pav Bhaji:** The bhaji was **mediocre**, lacking the richness of spices and butter that define this classic dish. The pav, despite having butter on it, felt **dry**. Given the pricing, the taste and quality didn't justify the cost. The experience didn't feel satisfying, especially for those seeking **authentic flavors**. - **Service Limitations:** The **South Indian cuisine** is available only till **8:45 PM**, and **chaat items** are served only till **7 PM**, which feels restrictive for an evening outing. **Overall Experience:** While the ambiance and presentation were decent, the **lack of authenticity and the high prices** made it a **disappointing experience**. If you're looking for a fulfilling meal, there are better options available in the area. Rating: (2/5)
Bombay Shiv Shakti is a vegetarian restaurant with a welcoming ambiance and awesome hospitality. Located on the second floor, the restaurant immediately impresses with its warm atmosphere and attentive staff, who thoughtfully seated us at a larger table despite our party of two. The fully vegetarian menu offers a variety of flavorful dishes. We tried the rava dosa and fruit custard with jelly, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. The staff were attentive to detail, like providing extra plates and cutlery for sharing without being asked. Service was prompt, and the waiters were attentive throughout our meal. The restaurant was also clean and well-maintained, including the washrooms. Bombay Shiv Shakti is a must-visit for anyone seeking great vegetarian food paired with great service.
