I have had their murgh changezi, butter chicken during Ramzan over the years. Getting The food is a challenge. The food is amazing in taste. The service and ambience needs to improve drastically.

I went to Delhi 6 Zakaria Street outlet. The place was so crowded that we could not stand even for an hour as the crowd was huge, there were few chairs, tables to sit and eat. However, we bought a lot of things from the shop. I love the taste of their chicken items. The staff did their best to serve the customer. But there will be some trouble due to heavy rush...... Delicious vermicelli very popular. We ordered chicken afghani and also ordered chicken items but chicken afghani with lots of butter and cream it was very tasty you can try it once. they serve other things too.....

Dilli 6 offers some of the best tandoori chicken I've ever had! The flavors were spot on, and it was cooked to perfection. The chicken Afghani was also amazing--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. If you're a fan of rich, flavorful North Indian cuisine, this place won't disappoint. The only downside is that the interior and infrastructure could use some improvement. Updating the ambiance would definitely enhance the dining experience and make it a more comfortable spot to enjoy such fantastic food. Overall, Dilli 6 is a must-visit for the food alone, especially if you're craving excellent tandoori dishes. Just don't expect a fancy setting.

I visited during Ramadan 2024. First and foremost you need to have patience to stand in the long queue to place your order. Then the second fight is about find a table to sit. After that again a long wait and your food will be delivered. But the way they are managing the huge crowd, it is really commendable. I tried the following items: 1. Afgani chicken and butter naan - nice juicy chicken tossed with butter and cream, you can taste it with butter naan, rumali roti and it taste delicious. Rating 4.5/5 2. Shirmal and mutton nihari - We tried dry fruit shirmal and mutton nihari. Shirmal price was 150 per piece but it was worthy. And nihari was beyond any words. Rating 5/5 3. Mutton biriyani - This is one of my weak point. As i belong from Naihati, north 24 parganas in West Bengal, here we are habituated with spicy rice, bit of oily and a huge portion of brown coloured mutton and aloo. But I personally like lighter biriyani. So it was a bingo for me. It was one of the best biriyani i have tasted at Kolkata. But the mutton and aloo portion is bit disappointing when compared to North 24 pargana style ( Dada Boudi, Bombay biriyani etc.). Rating 4/5 Overall its a must go place atleast once in your lifetime. I recently visited there and while the food was good, I was disappointed with the atmosphere and service. The restaurant had a small dining area with limited seating and a basic decor that lacked any significant charm or appeal. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a disinterested server who didn't seem to care much about my presence. It took a while for me to get seated, and once I was, the server was inattentive and didn't provide me with any menu suggestions or recommendations. However, the food was the saving grace of the restaurant. I ordered their famous Chicken Biryani and it was delicious. The biryani was packed with flavor and had a good amount of chicken pieces. The portion size was generous and I felt satisfied after finishing the meal. Additionally, the prices of the food were reasonable and affordable. Unfortunately, the lackluster atmosphere and poor service detracted from my overall experience. The tables were unclean and the restaurant had a general lack of hygiene. The server didn't bother to check on me during my meal and seemed to be preoccupied with other tasks. The ambiance was also not great, with outdated decor and uncomfortable seating arrangements. In conclusion, while the food at the Chicken Special restaurant was good, the atmosphere and service left much to be desired. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a dine-in experience, but it might be worth trying for takeout if you're craving some good biryani.
