Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Jamil Ansari

Hi India Resturant So I'm writing this review from the bottom of my heart, I went to your kaikhali restaurant to take food from your outlet, and thought that it would have been a good decision for my father's birthday. But it turned out to be a pathetic experience I never ever imagined that a chain restaurant like you all can do business like this, after having dinner with my family members, all of our mood got spoiled, I spent 1500 all together to at least make my father's day better, cause we all know we can be happy for a day if we feed good to our womb. But here it didn't work here, having three stories building running restaurants is not worth it at all if you cannot serve good food. I can assure you all that whoever will eat your food for the first time will definitely not visit anymore. Even in your takeaway counter guy lied to me when I asked how much is your piece of mutton weighing. Just to sell your so-called biryani. It was boiled rice with a massive potato and a lot of bones instead of meat costs rs. 310. The photo is also attached for your reference. Well you all have lost the faith of your valuable customer. Moreover I will definitely try not to recommend anybody to visit your restaurant further. I hope you all do business in good etiquette. Peace out.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, but my experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered a mutton dish expecting rich flavors and tender meat, but what I got was completely unacceptable. The mutton was severely undercooked--chewy, tough, and almost impossible to eat. When I brought it to the staff's attention, they were indifferent and offered no solution. A dish like this should never have left the kitchen. Given the price, I expected way better quality and proper cooking standards. The rest of the meal was average at best, but the undercooked mutton completely ruined the experience. Food safety should be a priority, and serving raw or improperly cooked meat is simply unacceptable. Won't be coming back.

We all are aware of good the Biryani is of the OG India Restaurant at Khidderpore. I wish I could say the same for their Kaikhali branch as well. This is the third time I took parcel from the Kaikhali outlet and I was somewhat disappointed every time. While the biryani of the Khidderpore branch is light, perfect blend of masala and flavours .. the Kaikhali branch's biryani is nowhere close to their signature taste. Rather, the rice was mostly masala , the potato wasn't that soft and most importantly the mutton had hardly any meat. I am not suggesting the biryani was bad, it certainly had flavours but it just didn't feel like it belongs to India Restaurant. I sincerely hope they would improve in near future.

Well known restaurant... Highly recommended as well. Food quality and portion size were much satisfactory. The ambience is also nice.

The restaurant is quite easy to locate. The seating capacity is good, and the lighting, interior is great to click pictures. It gives off an elegant vibe. The ambiance is quiet, and it's a great place to take family and friends to. The food tastes amazing. The chicken was tender, mutton even more so. Everything was really flavourful. The mutton galauti kebab was so indulgent, paired along with the paratha, it's a must try.

Rating: (3.5/5) Visited the new India Restaurant branch in Koikhali (an extension of their Khidirpur outlet). The ambience is really inviting--warm decor, well-set lighting, and a comfortable setup. We tried the Chicken Chatpata Kebab and Mutton Boti Kebab--both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. For the main course, we had the Chicken Special Biryani and Mutton Special Biryani, which lived up to the expectations--flavorful and aromatic. However, the experience was slightly affected when we found a strand of hair in the Firni we ordered for dessert. The staff responded quickly and replaced it, but such hygiene issues should be taken seriously. Overall a good experience, but they need to be more careful about cleanliness. Will definitely visit again for the food, hoping for better hygiene next time.

I had a very bad experience in this outlet. I already had good in the khidirpore branch, it was excellent. The ambience is not that good, it is better but smaller in size. Service is somehow good but staff behaviour is not good, they are also not aware about the food and details. Now coming to the worst part, I ordered kachchi biriyani. Biriyani had a slight gravy not completely dry, the potato was not boiled or cooked properly and mutton is also in the same path, it was a small piece but not boiled properly, hard, chewy, no spice inside meat. I informed the staff and they said this biriyani is like this only. Unfortunately I don't have the potato pic. I am very disappointed. Galauti kabab was good though.

Sourish Roy

Authentic biryani as I used to have from the Kidderpore main outlet. No flying colours, no rustic flavour. Meat portion can be bit better in size although but the biryani is balanced. Mutton and chicken is tender and fresh. Ambience is good. More or less value for money. Recommended.
