Rice, seafood, coconut, vegetables and local spices are some of the main ingredients in Goan cuisine. I got to taste Kokum which I absolutely loved . It was my first time , I tasted kokum. It is the favoured souring agent in Goa, parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat. Drinking Kokum juice helps in digestion & acidity . I tried the dish that Goa is most famous for is the Goan Fish Curry. It's a coconut based dish flavoured with red chillies and fresh fish . It tasted superb, like the best dish I tried there Another dish I loved is Kerala style prawn masala .It is a rustic and fiery dish from the tribal community of Kerala.The distinct flavours are from the use of black pepper, black kokum and coconut oil. I also tried goan pulao,chicken coastal curry , coconut rolls and much more .

Introducing Kolkata's first authentic Goan Kitchen Location : 17/3 Ganga Prosad Road, Harish Mukherjee Rd, Kolkata, West Bengal 700025 Before coming to the food I would definitely like to mention the Ambience,it is a cute and Cozy Little cafe very beautifully designed keeping in mind the Goa theme ..which will give you a perfect vibe . Now coming to the food starting with drinks: From the drinks we had : Strawberry slushie Green apple Soda From the Appetizer we tried: Kerala style prawn masala Goan Fish Roll with Blueberry Yoghurt Dip Now coming to the Main course : Goan fish curry Chicken Coastal Curry Goan Pulao Last but not the least Dessert Coconut Rolls Overall I personally tried something new , and Goan food which is something you don't get every where in Kolkata So it's worth trying,and the quality of food is really good I would definitely visit this place again.
